Hello and thank you so much for reaction. Diana Navarro is quite amazing, versatile and a master of La Copla, Flamenco and Saeta genres. This Copla called "Romance de la otra - Romance of the other (lover)" was writing in 30´s and have sung by many Copla Spanish singers, "I am the another one and I have not rights because I don´t have a ring with a date inside.." Nice tribute to the opera tenor Plácido Domingo from Diana Navarro performance and the Symphony Orchestra of Europe conducts Luis Cobos. Sublime!

React to Adiós. You will hear the voice of an angel that will take you on a journey through heaven. You will not have heard anything like it and the lyrics are heartbreaking. A non-human and heavenly masterpiece 😍🤯🔝🙌

"Romance de la otra" ("Romance of the other") is a song by Quintero, León y Quiroga, a trio of Andalusian composers, poets and musicians, recognized for their joint authorship of many popular songs in the genre of the copla genre back in the 30s and 40s of the last century.
The copla, Andalusian copla or simply Spanish song (Canción española) is an artistic genre of Spanish music that combines music, lyrics and interpretation.
It appeared in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century and remained in force even during the Spanish Civil War and the postwar period. From 1950 it had a strong presence in Spanish musical cinema and Spanish theater.
    .
The librettos of this genre delve into human passions, generally with a narrative character.
The lyrics of the classic couplas unfold stories of overwhelmed feelings, love, disappointment, jealousy, sadness or joy in which the characters are overcome by passions that they cannot or don't want to control.
In many cases dark characters and violent images are evoked, in others resigned suffering and deep sadness.
    .
This bombastic orchestral version tries to recover that tone of the shows of those old divas of this genre.
    And this is the translation:
ROMANCE OF THE OTHER (The "other" woman, you know...)
    Why do her wear black
    Oh, in black!
    if no one has died?
Why is she always locked up
    Oh, so why!
like the one she's in jail?
Why doesn't she have a family
nor a puppy that barks at him,
    nor flowers that amuse her,
nor laugh that I have accompanied her?
Of the why of this why,
    people want to know,
    four sighs respond
    and nobody understands them
    and nobody understands them.
I am the other, the other
and I have the right to nothing,
why am I not wearing a ring,
    with a date inside.
I have no law that pays me,
    no door to knock on,
    and I eat secretly
with your kisses and your bread.
As long as you live calmly,
What does it matter if I die
I love you being the other one
as the one who loves you the most.
    Why weren't your lips?
    Oh, your lips!
    that were the bad tongues,
    those that one night came,
    Oh, so why!
    to read me the sentence.
The name that I offered you
it is no longer yours, companion,
of orange blossoms and white veil
the one who wears it dresses.
    As was your will,
my mouth gave you no complaint,
comply with what you have signed,
    that I'm not worth it,
    that I'm not worth it.
I am the other, the other
and I have the right to nothing,
why am I not wearing a ring,
    with a date inside.
I have no law that pays me,
    no door to knock on,
    and I eat secretly
with your kisses and your bread.
As long as you live calmly,
What does it matter if I die
I love you being the other one
as the one who loves you the most.

Hello, Craig, thanks for react to Diana again.
This song is a copla, another Spanish traditional music.
"Her Majestic, The Copla", resurged in the early XX, and it was a great successful, like the pop in the 80's here.
One of the most important things to the copla are usually the lyrics, very shocking in their times, because it was a way to challenged the society and the prejudice and the worst tradition. It usually have a double meaning, but under the Franci's dictatorship, it was censored and they obley to change some lyrics. However, the artist still find ways to perform freely.
This song is a good example. In the 30's, it was very usual that the marriage was a business for the families, and of course, the divorce was forbidden. The lyrics talks about the "other", the lover (and the real love) of the man. She is in pain, we can feel it, right? So you can understand that she is not a monster, a sinner, she is a woman who suffer for anothers decisions. That is the idea, change minds. And they won.

Craig, greetings, did you know that Diana Navarro sings in any style of music, flamenco, copla, soul, pop, opera, etc, etc. She is also a composer of many of her songs and she is also a very good person. I'll tell you an anecdote One day he heard a young man sing and as he liked it from that day on he always carried it with him and in each performance he made him go on stage to sing a song together so that people would listen to him and thus make him known until be famous as he is today, his name is Pablo Alborán, I leave you the link of a video where you can see what I tell you
