Omg this coming out right after Laganjas interview on Hey Qween talking abt Alyssa and Gia. So sad abt all of this but both laganja and aja seem to have matured ALOT. Wish them both the best.
From her time on S9/AS3, Dahlia's brief time on S12, and now the character that is Kandy on S13 you can tell that these are some very STRONG personalities. It's difficult to house that many strong personalities at once. You can tell in Aja's case that they are someone who has been broken down a lot by the people in their life.
At the end of the day Aha shared her very large platform and she didn't have to. That shit hurts. Truth is neither Dalilah or Kandy probably would have made it on to RPDR so soon without that platform. They took care of each other. Maybe Aha was more motherly but so it hurt more. It's like a death, you morn that friendship ending.
Aja seems to have genuine mother vibes when it comes to her house, I can imagine how that can be difficult with strong personalities, and each being icons in their own right.
Literally top 10 of my fav queens, she’s unapologetically herself and her energy both seasons were so GOOD, she can lip sync and perform the house downnnnnn, love her sm
Aja just seems so genuine. i also love how they accept responsibility too and doesn't just blame everyone else. Goona listen to their music at the gym now to get my swole on! I LOVE Aja, Dahlia and love to hate Kandy (but that's still love!) so far! I hope they can all have a relationship somehow.
To all the haters on my comment. It has been important to mention I changed my opinion on her because it was contextually appropriate - Aja has shown herself as an evolved and more mature person. THAT is why I liked the video and gained respect for her. On the show she has been incredibly problematic and unpleasant. She seems to have evolved and so my opinion of her.
Aja seems so self aware now. I am like blown away about how professional yet conveying the feelings were about a touchy subject. I haven't really seen anything about Aja since her season because I didn't really enjoy her but this new light makes me gain some love for her omg.
Very diplomatic Miss Aja. I'm looking forward to the full interview, I'm particularly interested in Aja's personality crisis and how she now views her drag.
Honestly, the writing is on the walls, and I’m glad Aja finally gave us a perspective on those walls. Like, she was giving them everything and they were lowkey/high key leeching off of her, and then go and talk shit bout them on a HUGE tv show, one that SHE herSELF was apart of. It’s just crazy, that like people will take advantage of you like that and then once they’re above you they don’t see you as equals anymore. Shame on Kandy, love that Aja called Dahlia like a Switzerland, that sums her up perfect omg but not purgatory OMG I GET IT BUT I WANT TO UNGET IT
It was weird seeing Aja looking like a straight up man and like a little gangsta lol. I was like omggg who is that and then when Aja started talking I was like omg qween
The world and the Drag Race community was really lucky to have Aja and have her/him do kindness despite of them not returning it, is a heart of gold right there
"... Not that I've never said anything nasty. Because, let's be real. I think people are afraid to admit that they have dark sides, and people think they are all angels, but we all say nasty shit to people. Even the people we love and care about when we're in our darkness. And I feel that there's no shame in admitting that." OMG! Such a lesson! The best part of this interview IMHO.
Aja went above and beyond to showcase those gurls using her platform to promote other queens of color. Even though things didn’t come out pleasant they need to recognize that. We now have a total of 3 queens from the doll house who have been on drag race all because of Aja.
Yeah, it’s not about her beef or lack thereof with Aja. It’s about Kandy clearly being not good enough to be carried like this on drag race + her altercation with Tamisha showed her bad side and, well, arrogance. The most undeserved double shantay. Producers are making her the new silky and no one is gonna be a fan

Aja is literally the only Queen I've ever known who shared her platform the way she did. It would have been easy for her to take all the interviews for herself, all the gigs for herself, all the accolades for herself... It speaks volumes about her character that she shared that limelight with other. And, sadly,it says a lot about theirs that they responded in this way.
aja truly is one of the best drag queens from drag race. she constantly used her platform to bring awareness to her haus (when let’s be real, no one really cared about them at the start) and she also promoted local queens too. her all stars 3 run was one of the best out of any all stars queens and the reason season 9 is top 3 seasons in a lot of people’s list is because of the uniqueness and humility the queens & aja bought to the show, not to mention the iconic reads and lip syncs aja did. they’re such an unique person and i’m glad they have managed to find themself.
Aja is a treasure and I really know she comes from a place of love. I can really see how it affected her. I think she’s matured soooo much in the last few years and so giving of herself. *heart*
Aja has done so much for drag. Her references have allowed this generation to discover the legends that the foundation of ballroom culture was built because of and upon.
The problem is that people like the one being mentioned drag daughter who says that "I'm real.. I'm this and that" they tell upfront how they, regardless of of who they respond to and not being able to process considerations entirely and pop off because of intense emotional uproar.. This interview makes me cry..
i think i get what you're putting down. big pet peeve of mine: when people use "~this is just who i am, deal with it, i'm 'real' etc~" as an excuse/a way out of actually taking accountability for just downright inappropriate behaviour.
That’s what happens when you’re a mom! Amazing interview and it shows how much Aja cares , but also sticks to her principles. Very authentic interview🙂
It was the House of AJA and people forget that Aja's door was always open for any queen and AJA would give you costumes, help you with make up, teach people to sew, let you borrow wigs. Aja also put on "Dahlia" and "Kandy" ETC. Aja knew posting them would put them in the eyes of production. Also Aja brought them to her booth in Drag con nyc and la, letting them take along and putting them in the eye of producers. Aja isn't prefect but deserves her praise. She was also robbed in all star and she's also a real queen she can sew not just buy costumes, lip-synch the Haus down. In a big part Aja is the reason the girls got on. Kandy particularly had looks from designers Aja had wore first and similar looks.
Shit happens, people grow apart and conflama ensues but, it's all a grand cycle and why everything comes back around providing insightful, fresh perspectives. You Go Bitch!! You look good and have matured, presenting yourself in a very real, earthen way with humility and grace. In the end, all you can do is you which is enough because you are enough. ~Lo♡e.
I was not really impressed with Kandi before drag race but was willing to give her a chance. Although her attitude did get better on the show, I'm still not really impressed. Her version of the JPG look was not cute, the makeup looked like she just rubbed mud on, the dress didn't fit well, and her hair was a mess. Why she thought she looked good or why she copied a look Aja did, didn't make any sense, especially considering the shade she threw at her. She could never. Edit wrong designer my bad it was Mugler.
I even remember that live when they were calling themselves DaDollHouse and trolling the other girl after the big fight saying it’s better with just the 3 of them, this is crazy!!!
I love Aja. She has a lot of sass and is very charismatic. She is one of the queens that I don't necessarily worship on the show (editing much) but learnt to love outside the show. I would love to hang out with her and some other "friends" in my head. She is definitely in my top 5... and Kandy Muse is someone I would never be drawn to. She has a bad energy around her editing or not, yuck
0:14 it's INSANE how much Dahlia's makeup has improved between this picture and when she was on drag race. I think it's max 1-2 years and she looked like a completely different person.
I always thought Aja was being a good mother by sharing her platform with the other girls and when Kandy said on her first 0.5 seconds on Drag Race that Aja was jealous of her, that was all I needed to understand who she is.

Aja Is greater than Kandy. A Greater artist, AND a greater person.
This is why I have always loved Aja... The Realness.
At the end of the day Aha shared her very large platform and she didn't have to. That shit hurts. Truth is neither Dalilah or Kandy probably would have made it on to RPDR so soon without that platform. They took care of each other. Maybe Aha was more motherly but so it hurt more. It's like a death, you morn that friendship ending.
i agree and everything but i just can't get over 'aha'. taaake onnn meeee...!
Not Dalilah! 😂😂
Never liked Aja when she was on DR but this interview shows her as honest, genuine, self-aware person that really is impressive.
Could have left the first part out, wasn’t really necessary
@@vantablack1119 lol fr it's like why disclaim that your opinion changed, if you like someone what good does that do for their self esteem
"i always hated that bitch but this was actually impressive" is not a compliment
Why didn't you like her in her season. She was pure and jealous. Nothing wrong with that.
Shame on Kandy, love that Aja called Dahlia like a Switzerland, that sums her up perfect omg but not purgatory OMG I GET IT BUT I WANT TO UNGET IT
it’s giving pepper labeija at the beginning of paris is burning during the interviews

It was weird seeing Aja looking like a straight up man and like a little gangsta lol. I was like omggg who is that and then when Aja started talking I was like omg qween
Watch Aja's rap video's. Talented, love that side.
They look soooo good though
"Gangsta" is the completely the wrong word here hun. A durag, a jacket and a whole bangle is nothing "gangsta".
@@TaylorPie94 I’m talking about his face bruh
@@user-rt8cc3yl7t how is a face gangsta, bruh
Aja you were always featuring the girls and giving them a leg up. You're a good person and you cared.
I am feeling this pirate fantasy. Never change, Aja. Spiritual daughter of Crystal LaBejia dawling...they could NEVER COME FOR YOU!
And I feel that there's no shame in admitting that."
OMG! Such a lesson! The best part of this interview IMHO.
So well spoken and true.
There's nothing worse than ingratitude. I wish nothing but success to Aja. Always a very multi-dimensional and talented queen.
Aja went above and beyond to showcase those gurls using her platform to promote other queens of color. Even though things didn’t come out pleasant they need to recognize that. We now have a total of 3 queens from the doll house who have been on drag race all because of Aja.
Whose the third girl? Did they cast season 14 already?
@@varianoatman966 at the rate they're pumping out seasons, they've probably already casted season 20.
Because of Aja or because RuPaul sees something unique in them?
*2 . season 14 is not even casted or nowhere near production, uk 3 is
@@kwamiken27 Both.
This is why America don't trust Kandy... Just sayn...
It’s not that deep lmao
Yeah, it’s not about her beef or lack thereof with Aja. It’s about Kandy clearly being not good enough to be carried like this on drag race + her altercation with Tamisha showed her bad side and, well, arrogance. The most undeserved double shantay. Producers are making her the new silky and no one is gonna be a fan
America loves kandy babes
They don’t

I will always be #TeamAja 😍
True, Aja shared her platform from drag race with them. Aja really helped them become more known in the drag community
Aja needs an award for hand gestures 🙂
invented hand gestures
I thought at first Aja is wearing a purple wig or dyeing the hair purple lol. But dayumm Aja is giving the mother of the house vibe here. Respect!
Hey just wanna remind everyone Aja's pronouns are they/them :)
Good for her
@@tzukishiro not the disrespect, eew
Good for it.
aja truly is one of the best drag queens from drag race. she constantly used her platform to bring awareness to her haus (when let’s be real, no one really cared about them at the start) and she also promoted local queens too. her all stars 3 run was one of the best out of any all stars queens and the reason season 9 is top 3 seasons in a lot of people’s list is because of the uniqueness and humility the queens & aja bought to the show, not to mention the iconic reads and lip syncs aja did. they’re such an unique person and i’m glad they have managed to find themself.
I still think about Aja like at once a day. One of my favourite people in the world and I don’t even know them.
I can’t wait for the full interview
Aja is a treasure and I really know she comes from a place of love. I can really see how it affected her. I think she’s matured soooo much in the last few years and so giving of herself. *heart*
Isn’t there a drag house in Puerto Rico called The Doll House and doesn’t April and Kandy belong to it?
Yep
That’s why Aja said it was unoriginal.
Maybe it's Doll House vs. DAHL House?
@@jay-dubb.dubb.68 Kandy, Dahlia, and Janelle refer to themselves as the "Doll Haus".
I believe in Aja's perspective. I mean is the most open one so far.
Aja you are a humble and wise talent. You bring so much joy to so many people thank you girl. All the way from Ireland 🇮🇪💕
The fact she’s been so composed about this for so long really makes me believe her side a lil more ❤️
Much love to Aja- I’m anticipating the interview!
Aja has done so much for drag. Her references have allowed this generation to discover the legends that the foundation of ballroom culture was built because of and upon.
🤔🤔🤔🤔
The problem is that people like the one being mentioned drag daughter who says that "I'm real.. I'm this and that" they tell upfront how they, regardless of of who they respond to and not being able to process considerations entirely and pop off because of intense emotional uproar.. This interview makes me cry..
i think i get what you're putting down. big pet peeve of mine: when people use "~this is just who i am, deal with it, i'm 'real' etc~" as an excuse/a way out of actually taking accountability for just downright inappropriate behaviour.
I'm getting Pepper LaBeija vibes here.
yes!
TOTALLY
I love Aja, she truely deserves better! 💕🌸
I could listen to Aja speaking for hours. She is amazing
I need this full interview immediately!!!!!
Kandy particularly had looks from designers Aja had wore first and similar looks.
i’ve always loved Aja, she honestly seems so self aware now and she’s so genuine and understanding.
~Lo♡e.
You basically built the house and they named it....then they kicked you out !
I can’t believe!
And like Aja said she shared her platform with them 💔
Aja was always so humble and kind whenever i was in her presence. Always will respect her.
love aja so much, can’t wait to see this
Kandy Muse: "We were, until we were dismembered."
Lmfao...dismember normally means to cut off the limbs, to dismember a body. But I guess that's what they did to the Haus of Aja.
@@landofthelivingskies3318 It was one of the best lines of the season and it just went under the radar.
Hopefully Kandy Moose can take a humility pill, because her personality is not very nice.

Finally an interview that gets to the point right away 🙌
Why am I not surprised they ended the house. those other girls used her for her fame. Love you aja girl ❤️
So excited to watch the full thing!
@Korie, You wanted to give Kandy a chance🤣🤭🤪? You think she cares?
@KORIE What is JPG?

The tea I’ve been waiting for
I believe every word out of Ajas mouth you can see how kind they were on AS3. They aren’t playing the victim here either much respect
Exactly. I didn't even know who the others were until Aja brought them on Hey Queen! She put them on and they did her wrong.
I even remember that live when they were calling themselves DaDollHouse and trolling the other girl after the big fight saying it’s better with just the 3 of them, this is crazy!!!
Oh Dis The EPISODE🙋🏾♀️💖💖
Aja!! I love you, girl!! I love seeing your face and hearing your voice. Stay well, sis!
Why is Aja looking like someone auntie in the beginning🤣🤣🤣
I hope Aja returns to drag at some point, such an energetic entertainer, amazing lipsyncer, fabulous looks. I enjoyed her very much.
Bless Aja, they have been dragged and didn't deserve it. They are being honest here, you can tell.
I truly respect Aja's drag. She was, is, will be a force to be reconned with.
The return serve from Kandy Muse is going to be interesting to say the very least.
I appreciate this interview.
