It's kind of crazy but his gameplay gives me ball chasing vibes but somehow it's like the fastest most advanced of any player out there and it works.

I agree. His routinely phenomenal gameplay shows that he’s making the best of his cracked mechanics by consistently seeing more options than his opponents (and maybe tm8s) and improvising exactly such moves as will work the best, faster than the rest.

0:17 very interesting way to defend. Instead of Zen, I would have demoed as quickly as possible but I have the impression that he timed the demo depending on the result of 1v1 then quickly counter-attack
the thing is he has full trust that vatira can clear the ball to a good spot thats why he delays the demo
That’s my tactic in 3s while rotating back. You take out the offense and the first player thinks he has backup but there’s no support for a follow up

Can somebody tell me what input buffer does zen use in rocket league or where can I find him opening his settings?
Maybe he use Default Buffer Input.

Maybe I’m just not good enough to realize it wouldn’t work. But I wonder if a team could potentially shoot passes back and forth 2-3 times and score. So it’s not necessarily someone going for aerials then someone staying back could make an instant pass to air, ground, ground, score. And they wouldn’t have enough time to turn around instead of doing 1v1’s essentially every time. Almost cherry picking in a sense

It’s like the difference between Euro and South American futbol. 2 very effective ways to get the job done, but polar opposites in style of play. Euro (passive control, defense oriented to minimize chance of counterattacks, force over-extension to feed strikers breakaway opportunities) //// South America (fast paced pressure, full blitz on counters to allow a flurry of short passes, high risk/very high reward)
This is a 2v2 video, so I'll answer in that context. I've heard pros talk about why passing in 2s is so rare, and it's because there's such a high risk of the pass being intercepted (especially if it's happening more frequently and so becomes expected), or placing the second player in a bad position to be counter attacked on. 3s is an altogether different game.
