James is the man! Most performers I know can't do either one of those instruments by themselves as well as he does both at the same time. He has a deep musical soul and I can't get enough of his playing.
@@FurNaxxYT I play piano and have college degrees in Music (theory/piano/education), and I can say without a doubt that JM can play piano. He is a true 'multi-instrumentalist' and one of the best musicians I have ever seen. His left hand is just fine.....not at all simple. I have also worked with and been around some of the best Jazz performers/composers and all of them played piano---very well, no matter what their primary instrument is. JM's musicianship is unbelievable, and so is his ability to play all the instruments...piano included.
I once worked on a gig with this guy in ''Positano'' Italy.............. What a musician, I had never met him or heard him play. What an amazing player and a top bloke, he played piano, trombone, double bass and of course his trumpet (what a tone) ..... If ''Carlesberg'' did gigs ;-)

I think I've got everything he's recorded. Check out his Snappy Doo album on which he plays the whole big band, saxes, trumpets, trombones and piano with Ray Brown, Herb Ellis and Peter Erskine. Amazing, especially Le Beauclaire Blues. The trumpet shouts at the end are incredible. I'll put some more up when I can get around to it.'

You reach a certain point at times where you stop thinking about notes and start thinking about the sound made. I switch a lot from Bb to G to C, so I have that a bit. Playing both at the same time is something I could never do though :D He's just awesome like that I guess.
As far as I know he doesn't play the strings, violin etc, but does play bass and guitar and he has never recorded, as far as I know, on drums. Talented little bugger isn't he. Expect to see him playing a full multi-dubbed string section on his next recording, nothing would surprise me with this guy.

His piano playing is literally as simple as it gets on the bass hand. If the pianists you know can't play that then they dont actually play
