I have been playing JRPGs since the early 90's, you can say that I lived through several epochs of games generations, and went through all of the legendary games on the PSX days, but seriously... I have never played a game series that surpasses (The Legend of Heroes), I'm sure words won't give them justice, hence I recommend you to follow the path of the whereabouts of light.
Falcom which a BGM company, not a game designer, it's true. Hajimari no Kisaki is a perfect music story, love the BGM in Level Zero named Go to the opposite of a dream.
The harmonica sound so reminiscence, definitely make you imagine a peaceful evening in the countryside, sitting on top of the fence playing the harmonica while looking into the good old day, when you still young hand in hand with the first love in your life. And no i haven't play Sora no Kiseki yet .....
