Gotta love Roman. Made clutch plays when we needed him too and didn’t disappear in big moments like other “good” receivers. Love him.

His 2023 production also was a bit of a surprise to me at least. Nearly doubled his receptions, more than doubled his yards and tripled his touchdowns from 2022. We knew he'd have to step up with Ronnie Bell leaving but I did not think Roman would be such a clear-cut #1. Played himself into the NFL when I would have thought for sure we'd have 2 more years of him going into 2023.

@@hailhailtomichigan1918 Oh yea for sure. Wasn’t expecting a monster year out of him but that is exactly what he produced.

What would jj be without Roman Wilson and I think that would’ve worked out differently if he played for another team and not Michigan, he was his best option js

Ro dub against East Carolina with the 3 touchdowns you could already tell he was in for a big year

Antonio brown and Dionte Johnson made it work.

@@after_yinz Antonio Brown was sturdy tho. I like Roman I just think he could benefit from gaining 10lbs or so

I am a Steeler fan since 1969. I've been through the failure and the rebuild of my team. It's WHY I followed them...losing records, a GREAT owner (Art SENIOR), and not to mention...the colors were cool. Heard the banter and shredding of the 50's and 60's Steeler nation, and ridicule of the Yinzer. In comes Chuck...heart...and a few years of drafts that turned out to be one of the best string of educated leaders drafting the best for the TEAM that you'll ever see. Bradshaw, Stallworth, Harris, Swan (who I'll get back to), Greene, Ham, Lambert, Blount, Shell, Greenwood, Webster, etc...all in the hands of Noll. I bring this up because this reminds me of the doubt the older Steeler fans had about Swann. And Wilson reminds ME of Lynn Swann. Why? His height is not impressive, he does have great hands, he CAN get open, but these clips didn't do enough to show me the speed Wilson is capable of, a doubt they had of Swann. And just like Lynn Swann, Wilson is coming from LEGENDARY football bloodlines in Michigan (respect, from a Syracuse Orange fan). What concerns me: if you look real close at most of these "highlights"...do not see enough break-away plays on Wilson's part. He catches the ball and will run as long as there are no defenders in front of him. He doesn't seem to have the "catch the ball-break away-and beat the defender to the end zone" capability. Yet. Or, just didn't see it. More importantly, the majority of what I see is there passing proficiency of McCarthy. This kid/QB can thread a needle. Yep, saw some Hail Mary type luck, but almost all of the catches were throws that were ON TARGET. And some...AMAZING! I am jealous of the team that is fortunate enough to have drafted JJ. I am not taking anything away from Wilson, he has great presence and hands. And like Lynn Swann...who was a SMALL receiver...he may surprise us with his ability to learn to move AFTER the catch...and use his size to his advantage. I am not convinced that he will make it to our #2 receiver behind Pickens (for now), but for the sake of being a YINZER and a "no matter what happens" Steeler fan who will ALWAYS fly the flag of his favorite team...I hope Roman Wilson is everything the scouts think he will be. Trust me.
