Finally, a gingham I can actually get behind. Most carry the yarn and they just aren't reversible or look good. I've seen this in plaid, I just can't believe I didn't think about gingham (just a plaid variation). 😄 Thank you!
Great idea! Thank you. Just a suggestion: I save my yarn clippings and use them to stuff projects like grandkids toys, pillows, or what ever requires stuffing. No waste.
This is wonderful, FS! I crochet blankets for charity, and I think at some point, I'm going to make a twin size blanket with the woven strands going sideways, using up scrap balls of yarn. It won't be gingham, but it will look awesome. My scrap yarn blankets always look so beautiful and unique, if I do say so myself. This pattern will look so great!
Thank you for creating this blanket for us. I crocheted a similar blanket eons ago. So that pattern said to knot loosely the ends of the weaving strands together instead of putting them on a needle. It might go a bit faster as me and needles don't like each other🤣
I’ve seen this blanket done with long chains in thicker yarn or using 2 or 3 strands made into a long chain instead of just the strand lengths of yarn. I will have to try this soon!
Before I heard you say it I was thinking the whole time watching this that this would be great as a trivet or mug rug in a smaller scale like you ended up doing. I do plan as you mentioned to use cotton.
Ciao, sono iscritta al tuo canale da poco tempo, credo due mesi. Un canale che ha attirato la mia attenzione sia per la tua bravura all'uncinetto, che per tutto l'insieme degli argomenti che tratti. Ora guardo il tuo video. Saluti dall'🇮🇹 Ciao🖐️
I’m making a plaid Christmas blanket. I’m using chains to weave200 per row. So I only use one 200 chain length per eyelet. Some have two. I like your idea a lot of using just yarn lengths.
The first time I saw this pattern was early '70. The mesh was done in cream color and the weaving strip was a crocheted chain in multi colors. The blanket was done in King size bed size.
Make a solid colour and weave in an ombre. Say, for instance, you want to make a baby blanket and the colours are pink and yellow, you could do a solid pink and weave in the yellow to give it that POP. And if you're feeling really dangerous, this could be a good stash-buster afghan.
I've been trying to make a plaid as a gift. I tried crochet, then I tried on a knitting loom. Both got too complex, trying to get the color changes done. This looks like it would work. Thanks.
Thank you for this! I think I want to do a neon rainbow variegated yarn woven through a black background. Do you think this would work weaving diagonally as well?
Love your patterns! On this one, I am a little confused, what do you do with the strands on the other end that you do not knot? Did I miss a step? Would love to make this as a gift but I'm a novice when it comes to crochet! lol Thank you!
Very confusing on the stitch count .. so the stitch count 36 plus 20 then you said you were condensing for the sake of the video and gave that stitch count then you said add 2 more ??? Is that just for the condensed version or for the original stitch count , I guess I won't get an answer as you haven't answered or responded to any of the questions here .. I've yet to find a clear video on this stitch
I love watching your crocheting tutorials ... your so talented thank you

I AM making the granny shawl this is what i want to use on September.

I can see this as placemats.
Thank you , wonder if blocking will help?
I like the colors. They remind me of Tanjiro from Demon slayer

🐨👍👍

Do you think doing the tassels singly would work?
@bridgetm773 yes, however I think they would look more like fringe than tassles in a smaller scale.
What do you do with the top yarn
Same as the bottom. You put on tassels. He mentioned that he did not make the strands long enough on the swatch to do the top tassels.
Can I do this pattern as muffler ?
Could you add a written pattern in the description? It is hard to carry a video in my tote bag!
How would you wash this 😩
