@@_space.pony_ I blow dry mine flat and that's all I have patience for cause even that takes forever. Otherwise I look like Mufasa if I let it dry naturally. My hairs not curly wavy or straight. Lol
I brush my hair and put it in a ponytail, but I changed the ponytail holders I use. I used the elastics, but now I use scrunchies. I don't want to deal with a long hair routine lol

FYI I tried this hairstyle on my thick, coarse straight hair and it came out as frizzy and poofy as Hermione granger 😅 last time I try to hop on a trend for fine-haired gals oh wellll p.s love the video brad
You can achieve a similar result as hers by using a different technique, I have tick curly hair and also a ton of hair hahaha and what you can do is just curl vertically in small sections in both directions, and once you're done just brush them with your fingers a little bit like if you were trying to mess them up, also you can use a little bit of hair oil if it's freeze and it will give you that natural wavy messy hair look.
I used to do this to my hair like five years ago when I had over process bleached hair and it came out beautiful now I have my natural dry curly hair and it looks horrible and frizzy.
I feel that. I've tried so many hairstyles and techniques, because I thought that they looked beautiful on others, but every braid I do looks massive and any messy bun explodes after seconds, because of the huge amount of hair that I have.
I have the same hair as you but mine is ridiculously tight curls under and then more like a wave on top 👀 so dumb. I can't imagine adding volumising spray to it. Wouldn't it make it hella thicker looking? I don't want even more weirdos petting my hair 🤣

i'm also a hairstylist and my boss always said when i still was a trainee years ago "don't make it look like you just stood up, make it look like it took you 1 hour to look like you just stood up". that sentence still sticks in my head

I definitely got a creased mess on my thin hair when I tried her technique 😩 I probably was going too slow like you said, but it wasn’t doing anything at all if I went fast. I even used texture spray. Honestly my hair can look better wavy doing a small curling barrel and brush it out more
You can get a very similar effect by sleeping in French braids, then release the braids and add some actual curls with a curling iron sporadically.

The endresult is literally my hair: A shiny mess of almost straight, wavy and curly hair and I save time and money because I get this result by just airdrying my hair! It is so cool to see, that other people put in so much effort to get something I have naturally!

A tip for you, lol, that maybe you already know, when doing flat-iron waves don't clamp down near the root, hover it in a volumizing curl/wave thing, and when you do clamp down a bit below that, be read to hold the area where you hovered above it with your fingers, so you can then make perfect waves down the lengths. It always ends up looking bad when people do this technique with a flat-iron but literally pull the hair straight down whilst waving the lengths, by not holding it at the top.
i’m so happy my hair is naturally curly/wavy bc it seems like some people really want to have that “look” and it makes me happy bc i used to HATE my curly/wavy hair. but knowing ppl will do anything to have hair like mine, it makes me feel better abt myself. i used to fake naturally straight hair bc i was so jealous of other girls hair that was gorgeous and straight when they woke up. now i can wake up and do absolutely nothing to my curly hair and it still looks gorgeous.

A much easier method for this look that looks SO much better IMO, is dividing hair into two, twisting it close to the face and using an iron. Dont press to hard, and allow to cool before shaking lossm WAY less crinckly and natural and way faster. Dont know why this is not a thing yet. For non-fine/frizzy hair, use a brush with a blowdryer while hair is flipped to smooth our before the twist/iron. Best fool proof method.

I don't style my hair with any irons and yet my hair styles itself just by brushing or combing my hair. I also have different colors in my hair along with thickness (from fine strands to thick strands).
my favourite hair style ;) love the idea of waving tiny pieces of hair at the end. you always do great job with hair ;) im that woman who avoids the hair spray but you encouraged me to get one now ;)
This is how I’ve been doing mine and my extensions in like the last month, but use a leave in protein spray prior first and a heat protector. I have the triple barrel curler and it is faster but I like this better because it’s more nautural

You know what would be most helpful is if you had one of your clients or friends that have straight shoulder length hair actually blow dry their hair without you helping them but you standing there instructing them how to do it. The reason I say this is when you stand behind someone you can pull in you can lift it all that’s possible but when we’re at home and maybe have bad shoulders or whatever and have to achieve sleek hair like we would like to it’s very difficult. If we could see a human model actually doing it herself would really be great. Thank you

My hair is naturally like this when I let it air dry, but it’s always frizzy! Is there a way for me to just use my natural hair and make it look a little less crazy? It doesn’t look bad, I just love the glossy messy look so much more than I do this craziness I’ve got going on right now. I have a lot more defined curls in the back and more waviness near the front, and my hair naturally gets those very loose beach curls in the front that shape my face surprisingly well. Just wish it was more put together.
Maybe try some leave in conditioner and a gel, mousse, balm or something
