Its a shame that many people still don't know Zedd's origin. A lot of people still think he is American whereas he is a Russian born German man who lived in USA for a long time and adapted the culture and accent. Before living in US, he lived in Kaiserslautern in Germany.
I saw Zedd in 2011 playing drums in his old band, Dioramic, in front of about 100 people in a tiny club. Super amazing show and I still love that album dearly! 🤘
Heard a couple of his songs, wasn’t a fan really. Now that I’ve watched this I’ll give him another try. Seems like a really nice genuine guy. His voice is so soothing
The funny thing about watching this is that I‘ve met Zedd in 2013 in his hometown in germany when he was visiting his parents. It was a very hot day in summer and almost no one recognized him because he was wearing glasses. He hung out with three of his friends and when my ex wife and I asked him for a picture, these dudes were making selfies all the time hahaha. But in fact I still have this picture with him standing in front of the „Brauhaus“ in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
His accent is so subtle! I thought he was raised in the U.S. the first time I heard him speak. Also he’s the same age as me but I thought he was way younger.
