In 1985, Shanghai Television launched the first national TV talent show variety show - the first "Casio Cup" Family Singing Grand Prix, hosted by Ye Huixian and Chen Yanhua. The show was live streamed with live band accompaniment, and was once crowded with people, with a highest rating of 94%. The stage layout and audio-visual equipment used in the competition were already extremely advanced at that time (such as NEC's broadcast grade cameras, Casio's electronic keyboards and synthesizers...). After competition, the first champion was the Wu Huimin family.

1985年，上海電視臺開辦了全國第一檔電視選秀綜藝--第一屆“卡西歐杯”家庭演唱大獎賽，主持人是葉慧賢和陳燕華，節目採取直播的方式，現場樂隊伴奏，一度萬人空巷，收視率最高達到94%，大賽的舞臺佈置和使用的音像設備在當時已經極為先進（比如NEC的廣播級攝像機、卡西歐的電子琴和合成器……），經過角逐，第一屆的冠軍是巫慧敏家庭。
