I’m literally about to cry right now. I’ve spent all my life being ashamed of my hair and thinking it was a lost cause. I tried different products, shampoos & conditioners. But it just left my hair frizzy, tangled, and dry. I’ve never once in all my time on social media seen anybody with my type of hair so I lost all and any hope. Today, I was just scrolling through hair care routine videos and I came across this video. I literally love you, you’re great with explaining, and you don’t gate keep. And I love love LOVEDDD the fact that you showed us every step of how you add the product in your hair, how to wash it, finger coil it, everything. This is the kind of video I’ve been looking for. All my life I’d been taught that products damage your hair and that random oils was the way but I hate the feel of oil. It makes my hair greasy and I don’t like it’s strong smell. I’m trying this out the second I get my paycheck, TYSM 😖❤️🙏 also, how do you get your curls to last throughout the week? do I have to rewash my hair and repeat this routine or…? and when you’re washing your hair, does the temperature matter?
Honestly, when I say that you really just made my day thank you so much for one even watching and reaching out to me. I’ve really appreciate the support and this is why I make these videos because I struggled for so many years as a little girl trying to fall in love with my hair and learn how to take care of it all the way up until College, so it was definitely a long journey for me and to know that my videos are leaving the effect even on one person like you really makes it worth it. People don’t understand the sense of identity that relationship girls really have with their hair so I’m just so happy to know that you feel like you found something that could help you feel beautiful!!!! I promise you once you find the right routine and the products that work for you. It’ll be so much easier ! if you have any specific questions feel free to follow me on Instagram. I’ll follow back. You can DM me. I have a whole playlist of Hair videos on my channel that will help and posting more soon! But to answer your question, I try to wash my hair at least once or twice a week to refresh my curls. I use the aunt Jackie don’t shrink elongating gel and warm/cold water when washing my hair. I start with warm water to open up my cuticles, but I try to keep it relatively warm to cold, hot water will make my hair more frizzy and tangled. It’ll dry it out more for me at least. I hope this helps and I hope you have the most amazing day and just remember that you’re beautiful and your hair is too!! ✨🫶🏽
You have the exact same curl pattern as me. It looks so healthy and hydrated! Definitely getting that shampoo and deep conditioner. I also have to finger coil that front part of my hair too. The struggle is real 😭
@@AprilYoung-m7q i usually put my hair in a loose bun and just refresh with water and the same aunt Jackie’s curl gel , i also have other videos on my channel of how i refresh next day but just a loose bun helps keep it from getting frizzy for me
i dont know how she does it... iam a man with longer hair but my mid section is so much trouble. but maybe hair can also be trained? i dont know... i didnt take good care of my hair the last 3 years
The top layer of my hair does not curl well its frizzy and undefined not matter what I do. I don't know how it's so damaged since I only blow dry it every 2 months and the hair underneath is super defined and curly. Have you ever struggled with this?
Literally my life! From experience and asking other people usually the top of your head gets dry because it receives direct sunlight and heat which can dry out your hair. Also usually depending on the way that you sleep the top of your head or the crown of your head is the area that gets the most friction which can cause frizz and hair breakage if you don’t use silk sheets and pillowcases. But pretty much the hair that is hidden under the rest of your head and it’s in the back is the most defefined and the most healthy because it’s really protected by all the other layers of hair so it’s not exposed to the outside elements of the weather the air humidity sunlight things like that
Not gonna lie to you blow drying or any type of heat tools arent the best so they’re definitely not gonna help the situation but I just recommend masking your hair giving a little bit of extra attention to those areas that need it and avoiding any extra styling tools blow dryers that can breakdown the health of your hair
Beautiful 🤩 I have 7kids and they all have your hair type very thick and 3c curls they always look great after wash day and applying products but by morning their hair is a big knotty poof and I refuse to wash their hair every day stripping it dry but also my 17yr old has been leaving in regular conditioner and I heard that can damage your hair also over conditioning it….Hygral fatigue is damage to your hair follicles caused by swelling from excessive moisture and her hair has been breaking easily it’s not as strong because she leaves her conditioner in she only quick rinse’s it leaving most of it in which made her hair too soft and easily breakable even after a week your hair still looks great honestly my kids after the first day no it’s extremely knotty and all over the place they do sleep crazy though lol
Hi thank you so much for responding back I really appreciate hearing experience with your children I do have to admit having a little ones and maintaining their curls is harder because they’re bound to mess up their hair it’s harder to manage at a younger age especially when they play and sleep. One thing I could suggest is protective styles braids help a lot with curly hair so that way doesn’t get tangled using hair masks once a week even for the little kids I would recommend just so their hair isn’t getting dried out by washing it every day, A lot of Shea moisture Products are all natural they even have a kid‘s line so you can look to see if they have any specific detangling products that you could use and maybe just switching to finding a leave in conditioner instead of just a regular conditioner I use designated leave ins all the time that are specifically meant to moisturize after a regular wash day.
One more thing I would recommend is washing their hair in the morning that way they can air dry form their curls- I never wash my hair at night because to go through the entire styling process just to sleep on it will ruin my curl pattern and I’ll wake up with knots and tangles I never really understood why people would wash their hair at night at least for me it doesn’t work for styling purposes so I would really recommend washing and styling their hair in the morning that way they are hair sets and forms for the rest of the day it’s more likely to stay intact longer than putting them to sleep with wet hair and them sleeping on it i hope this helps
Their hair sounds similar to mine. And that's what I do. I use my regular conditioner as leave in, and usually don't put any more products in it unless i'm really trying to do something fancy. I don't know if it's damaging my hair or not. But I've been fairly satisfied. My only problem is that I get build up on my scalp crazy fast and I don't want to shampoo 2 or 3 times a week. I usually wet and scrub it with plain water most days.
Most of the people video's are routines and products for volume. I do not like volumen on curly or straight hair (that's my preference too) I like definition , frizz free and hydrated curls. The hair gets hair natural volume through the days ....so I'm glad I found someone like me and will definitely check your other videos and subscribe.

your hair is amazing and your so pretty 😩😩😩😩
Awww your so sweet i appreciate you!! It’s been a long hair journey hun
Thank you for the video. I got some very good tips. Is your hair fine? Also, what is your porosity? Do you use a leave-in?
No my hair is pretty thick and I don’t have a leave in product in my rotation right now just a styler and gel
You are gorgeous!
Thanks for the tutorial
Please post another video I miss you😩

Have you ever tried the shea moisture Jamaican leave in conditioner?
No i don’t believe so i have used that line shampoo conditioner and smoothie but not leave in how do you like it
Oh my hair is the same way. It'll start curling one direction, then start going in the other. I just let it be because i can't be bothered.

Not sure why the algorithm suggested this video but since she cute I think I’ll stay😏
Mm😜😍
you dont have volume
No i don’t and i prefer it that way- I don’t pick or shake out my hair too much to avoid frizz and maintain last results I prefer Length over volume
