The music just ruins the peace surrounding the sound of the rowing in the water. Personally, for me, it kills my focus. Rowing for some of us can be quite meditative. I don't know if that makes sense to you, but for me, it is.
The music is there to protect the crew's privacy. So there is the choice between cutting the scenery, music overlay or muting the track entirely when the crew was talking. In some videos I mute, in some I cut, and in some there is music overlay. Or even pseudo-synched rowing sound snippets in some videos. Which creates sync issues. Neither is perfect.

I loved most of it, with the exception of that annoying music. I love to row for the exercise and the peace. The music RUINS IT!
