Scope & Content: This film documents the importance of the nutrition program in Head Start centers. It was directed by Joan Horvath and narrated by Burt Lancaster. Filming took place at centers in Jacksonville, Fla., Vincennes, Ind., Cochiti Pueblo, N.M., and Santa Fe, N.M. The title song and musical score were created by Noel "Paul" Stookey (of the musical group Peter, Paul and Mary), James Mason, Gary Shearston, Paul Prestopino, and Cameron Kotter. "Jenny is a Good Thing" was nominated for an Academy Award for Documentary (Short Subject) in 1970.
