Insane catch! Love the vapour streaming off the props, with sunlight for added "special" effects. Awesome video, and glad you're ok after two hurricane near-misses.
A lot of times in the sun, it gets EXTREMELY hard to keep the plane in the picture, the screen just isn’t bright enough. Even if the plane is only a hundred feet in front of you, you still wouldn’t be able to tell if it is in frame. Trust me, I know.
Quite a beautiful video of Hercules C 130. Very nice video. How far Miami is from St.Kitts? Secondly as I observe that there are quite a few private air crafts at St. Kitts
From Miami to St. Kitts is about 2 and a half to 3 hours on American's daily 737-800 flight...for this prop i assume a bit longer.... This was right after Hurricane Maria slammed Puerto Rico.....originally this cargo prop was doing relief flights from Puerto Rico to other islands hit hard by Hurricane Irma them Maria came along and fucked up things....all major airports close by were down....so St. Kitts became a base of operation :) !!! As you know St. Maarten was hit very hard by hurricane Irma...so there national airline Winair and its fleet of 4 twin otters seen in this video came over to St. Kitts for the time being....other plane being a cargo shorts 360 from San Juan and a Private Gulfstream.
it has been based in St. Kitts since Hurricane Maria...originally they were to be doing relief flights from San Juan to other islands but Maria messed things up in PR so they came from Miami and been doing flights.
The L100, or L382 is the civilian model of the aircraft. There are some differences in electrical systems. Most C-130's have some extra lower cockpit windows. Almost all L100's flying are 15 ft longer than the earlier C-130s . Most of J model C-130's also have the longer fuselage.
The L-100 is a Civilian aircraft with a standard airworthiness certificate. The C-130 is a military aircraft. Other than that the airframes are essentially the same, there are some systems differences.
How the sunlight shines on those blades, amazing catch.

Awesome props vortices! Really nice catch man :)

You see those vortices quite often on C-130s in the right conditions.
Brilliant!
I’m from Puerto Rico. How badly is the airport damaged? Someone had told me it was very bad. And I am very sad

Civilian version of C130?
Whats the difference compared to c130

Exactly what is the difference here between an L-100 and a C-130 Hercules? They seem to have the same body.
The L-100 is a Civilian aircraft with a standard airworthiness certificate. The C-130 is a military aircraft. Other than that the airframes are essentially the same, there are some systems differences.
In addition to being slightly longer than a mil Herc, on the L-100/382, they deleted the lower cockpit windows and the side paratroop doors
Wowwwww
This was in the morning
