      They are antichrists.
1 John 4:1 (KJV 1900): Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 John 4:5 (KJV 1900): They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

Most of these pastors have never done real work.. they went to school, straight to seminary and that’s all they’ve done. Paul was a tent maker, Matthew was a tax accountant, Peter was a fisherman, Jesus Himself was a carpenter.. notice how all these vocations are results driven.. pastors who ONLY know what they were fed to regurgitate from seminaries have no clue what having a consequence based work vocation is like, and have a natural weakness towards being swayed because their entire life has been nothing but studying and talking on things they themselves will not feel the immediate repercussions of. If you want to be a pastor, this is a good thing, but I plead you master some other vocation first before leading a church.. these other pastors didn’t and it made them manipulated by others who did.

I have walked a long side a couple pastors and I wouldn't wish the weight of that calling on anyone, I don't see many secluded in a study contemplating the universe but I see many in the trenches of life weeping with those who weep.

One of the key differentiators between sound and unsound churches is topical vs. expository preaching.
Preaching through the books/chapters of the bible (expository preaching) keeps a preacher on track with what God intends to reveal to us.
Topical preaching, while in theory can be scripturally sound, the message depends on the preacher to develop, and can be swayed by emotion and cultural forces.

The woke mind virus is strong, God is stronger though. Never bend from Biblical principles to not get backlash or not ruffle feathers, Jesus ruffled feathers most of His adult life, we should be like him not like some worldly group or movement. If you are super popular in the world and well-liked you are probably not following Christ very well, the Bible basically says this very thing. As Keith Green said, "No compromise."

My church had a study on I & II Peter, which was amazing on this topic. While I don't like the politics of the right taking over the church scene either, it is important that Christians avoid sexual immorality of all types. I wish it would be on billboards that just because adultery is legal doesn't make it right. I saw a billboard apparently about marijuana that read "Just because it's legal doesn't make it safe," with a picture of a young girl crying next to a car crash. I think that now that marriage is considered in our language to be something other than the traditional definition, we should start using some biblical word (perhaps Hebrew or Greek) or new term to refer to what Christians mean by marriage. I don't think this idea will win the day, but another way forward would be to replace "marriage" in our laws with the word "uniage", then have marriage be a man and woman, andriage be a man and a man, and fembriage be a woman and a woman, all being classifications of uniage, but preserving the word marriage with the traditional definition. Laws shouldn't be about who loves each other; laws should have other bases that are for the public good. Making legal marriage about love is trying to turn a private matter into a matter for the public good, but it makes no sense. There can be tax laws and such that recognize domestic bonds, but that is a separate issue from marriage. The gay community used an "ends justifies the means" approach, using bad logic in order to get what they wanted for their private gain. Society should have recognized and corrected an injustice, without turning a blind eye to rationality.

If you live in a Christian family, know no one of a different belief based system, it is easy to fall away from what Christ is calling us to see all people as created in the image of God and to truly love them. That is one of the reasons for the big differences between rural and urban America.

Don't know who this woman is, or where she's been, nor why she apparently has no interest in consulting a little history, before she gets up to make her money decrying conditions that have been this way in "the church" for well over 100 years. Bonhoeffer was lamenting the degenerate state of American churches in the 1920s (and a little reading proves they certainly didn't get that way overnight). Here in arkansas, there has not been a serious church since the early 1980s; hasn't been a single one since. I'm totally convinced that when the rapture comes so few will be missing no one will be the wiser, particularly as no one from the churches are missing.

This is one of the reasons me and my house left the evangelical church ten years ago. It’s gone to the dogs and I am not sure organized religion was ever Gods plan, Paul didn’t say to build churches and never did build one unless one twists the scriptures and makes themselves spiritual Israel which the body of Christ that Paul taught about is not. The churches will end up being the enmity of the people, just watch.

Another perspective on the damage done to evangelicalism this time by right wing conservatives In the eighties Gerry Falwell made a proposition to Ronald Regan that he could deliver the evangelical vote to Regan via his conservative political group the Moral Majority. Regan on his part was to promote moral policies when in government, anti abortion being one of them. In response to this proposition Billy Graham wrote to Falwell "... it would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it..." Recently Trump referred to "my beautiful Christians" thus embodying that prospect.

The Right stole evangelicalism, too. Political positions of the right - taught to Christians often by non-Christian podcasters and TV commentators - have become a litmus test for Christian faithfulness to too many conservative evangelicals. Which Megan repeatedly demonstrates herself. She lists government policies and party politics as being indicators of false Christianity. And she sarcastically slams things like immigrant rights as being irrelevant to biblical concerns. The Old Testament seems to disagree. Megan warns against George Soros (rightfully) but has no problem carrying water for the ideas of the likes of Rupert Murdoch. I've been an adult Christian for 40 years. I used to buy into all this right-wing political garbage. Literally. I bought all the books and donated to all the ministries that "stood for God against the culture" and who rooted out all the "wolves in sheep's clothing." I listened to their radio programs every day so I could get good and mad about the "secular humanism" and "political correctness" that had infiltrated the church. Satanic ideas like de-stigmatizing mental health and improving maternity leave. Then one day I realized that every thing about the whole rotten show was based on negativity. They spent way more time obsessing on all the evils in the world and going on witch hunts in the church than they did on explaining the gospel, healing lives, and exploring all the ways we can BE the body of Christ. This type of stuff is all about what we are against. Not about what we are for. I'm tired of the church spending its time, energy, and resources on this political mess. It's killing us. I don't want to be conservative or liberal, right or left. I want to love God with all my heart and mind and love my neighbor as myself. Truth stands out like a sore thumb when that is your goal. Not when you're hunting for demons under every pew.

Well , I hear a lot in my Bible of hating evil (Proverbs 3:7, Proverbs 8:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:22), and also avoiding vain and profane babblings and oppositions of science falsely so called (1 Timothy 6:20-21), but apparently we shouldn't worry about heresies (Titus 3:10-11) from post modernism creeping into the church. (Sarcasm.) I mean, sure, I get conservatism does not mean Christian. But, being a Christian, does mean you are actually more conservative, than political conservatives. If you're actually following the Bible. But if you're not, well, then I can see how this resonates.

    • @brittanygreen
      @brittanygreen หลายเดือนก่อน

I would also like to add: maternity leave will probably never be improved by leftists. Why? Because part of ensuring that your children be indoctrinated , ensures parents are out of the way. The less time, the better. Proverbs 22:6 is a truth that feminists work to override. One has to think, via Betty Friedan's "Feminist Mystique" that feminism started the whole "force women of child bearing and lactating age, out of the kitchen, and into the workforce." Instead of breast milk, give formula. Kids crying that they are being abandoned to a fate of daycares and public school? Call it "separation anxiety", and move on. Later on, instead of disciplining children (Proverbs 13:24, Proverbs 19:18), one gives kids Ritalin to basically drug them to compliance. Now we have a drug epidemic, but few take responsibility giving kids Vitamin R growing up. The education has been going down the tubes since the whole Dr. Benjamin Spock generation, and each generation is less educated on both practical and theoretical knowledge than the last one. Now, the same leftists who denied their anatomy , want to NOW have people accommodate their motherhood WHILE having a career . They want changing stations and nursing stations, in home facilities onsite, and maternity leave to pay them while they are doing a smidgen of what they should have been doing: taking care of their children. Which begs the question: why should a company pay you to raise your kids? In the men's case, children are a cost, not a benefit? Sure, one can say children are given tax deductions, but that's about it. And, part of the whole women workforce thing, was to reduce the amount of children per family, and reduce the amount of tax deductions. So, yeah, this maternity leave thing, is essentially a carrot dangle on a person's nose, not to really be improved. If one wants to have children, and one's a woman: quit your job, take care of your family. You can be a good mom, or a good employee, but not be both. (And, most working moms tend to sacrifice the mom part.)

@@brittanygreen Let's hate evil, by all means. But let's not be selective about it. Let's avoid heresy. But not put every difference in opinion on the level of heresy. I am a Bible-believing Christian. Nowhere in its pages is the idea that Christians should be more conservative than political conservatives. Some of the things God calls us to do and be are not what is conventionally known as conservative. At all. They would be called liberal. And scripture is absolutely opposed to our getting our hearts and minds shaped by the world. Steve Bannon, Mark Levin, Rachel Maddow, AL Franken, and Tucker Carlson should not receive our attention for hours and hours every week. They want us angry and afraid and tuning in regularly to hear what the bad guys are up to. We are obsessed with evil. We can describe in detail and tell you the history of Marx and Foucault. But we can't quote Wesley and Spurgeon. Let's learn the real dollar bills so well that we can spot the fakes. Not the other way around.

That was so powerful!! Nowadays, the cause of trying to right the boat seems almost hopeless. It takes so much mental energy. Because the enemy has no boundaries, he/they don’t play by the same rulebook. There are countless ways for them to achieve their goals. For those of us who need to work for a living - that would be me - expending more time, mental energy and money to support good causes seems to always take a little more than I have in me and in the bank.
