This tank and the standard b were some of the best and most fun tanks in this game before the nerfs. I wish WG didn't nerf things so hard, it's like they can't balance things in a reasonable way it's always either over buff like crazy or nerf into irrelevance
Grinded it, got nerfed, rotting in garage, AMX M4, grinded it, got nerfed, not rotting in garage, still fun to play. That should explain it.
For me I always prefer SConq or 60TP
I spent forever trying to grind Obj 430 II, And they nerfed it right before I got it. Same with Progetto 65, and AMX M4 54. I'm tired of trying to grind tanks any more. Going to just play my premium and Old skool tech tree tanks from now on.
same here. every time I get to about tier 9 of whatever the strongest tier X tech tree tank is, it gets nerfed before I can finish it. Kran, Progetto, AMX and recently the Vz though I guess that one is still at least good, just not OP like it was before. I'm always behind the meta cause I don't have millions of free xp to hop on the hype train when its in the station.
it's funny, that after all the buffs/nerfs the M4 54 is now the same as the old tank, but with better DPM, lower top speed and better armour. gun handling is about the same as before

The gun handling nerf was one nerf too many for me. I can handle tanks with bad DPM, I actually love the Rino since it has some turret armor, but the Progetto 65 has nothing going for it anymore imo.

They nerf my favorite Progetto 65 and Standard B it broke me to the point I have started to fight back by torturing premium tanks
I can't say much about Progetto 65. Nerfing the upper plate made it too vulnerable. Worried about TVP T-50/51 next year, who knows what devs do to it
Barely seeing any tvp's in matches, gun js hella inaccurate it may only get fixes not nerfs
The gun and dpm are just not good enough for tier 10. The tvp can do 1200-1300 and reload in 20 seconds while the progetto usually hits 2 maybe three shells because if you shoot all 4 thats roughly 1400 and your dpm is gone It doesn't fitthis meta at all. Its a mediocre autoloader and a bad single shooter

@@lorenzobruschetta9919 you really need to go all in with the bourrasque with equipment and consumables... even then the gun handling is wonky, but it made a huge difference for me. Only gold ammo of course... it still makes profit nicely in average games.

Maybe i should go back to food, but I don’t know if it’s really worth it.
MM is becomes worse everyday and the balance can suffer a lot.
Visually the Progetto is a beautiful tank and i hate that it sucks. I like playing tanks that i find aesthetically pleasing.
I refuse to play it now though.
Originally it was a good vehicle with high potential.
One of the biggest problems is that WG originally nerfed it because it was “over performing” … The problem with that is, that was because a LOT of good players played it. You take a good tank and a good player and a tank is naturally going to perform better.
A player with enough skill can make pretty much any tank look good or even overpowered.
After the first nerf it went from good to playable. The first nerf was fine at the end of the day because it was still decent and it was still fun.
A good player could still make the Progetto perform well.
The 2nd and most recent nerf was completely unnecessary, it basically killed the tank purely because it is a popular tank. They took a decent tank and drowned it in the bathtub because Wargaming ig..
My opinion, the Progetto 65 is NOT worth grinding. Do not waste your time working towards a tank that wargaming murdered for fun.
If it gets a decent buff in the future and it becomes decent or at the least playable, maybe grab it then. Right now it is NOT worth it.
Never played the tank soo I am biased from this side likely but I really don't feel bad that it's nerfed at all. too many tanks with autloading/reloading mechanisms that just allow you if you are either better than your opponent/get in a advantageous position to just anihiliate the opponent, in old wot the worst thing you could get is get clipper by bat chat/ghet shot by jg pz, (yes I know about the arty but fuck that class It shouldn't exist even If it can deal 10 dmg to you without punishment) now there is 10 auto loaders/reloaders, heavies with double shots, huge alpha heavies and etc. people wonder why games last 5 mins, maybe because If you get unlucky/you are worse you just get clipped and get send to the garage in the first 3mins, and cool you may say bad players should learn from that but nobody learns from that soo I'll extend my reach, If proggeto was soo good he shoudl've been reasonably nerfed, but then again wg shouldn't even introduce as many double shots, vz 55s soo progetto is not the only one I dislike.

When i started to play WoT i always thought that the tank that outplayed me was OP. Then i started to grind those "OP" lines and to my surprise i sucked with the "OP" tanks... Try playing the tank you think is OP and you will see for yourself... You will start to cry that the tank is underpowered lol
@@vampirecount3880 I am not a bad player, I didn't say i could not perform in a tank, I just expressed my opinion why tanks like that are bad for the game and why they make every other tank feel lesser, If this is all you concluded from my big crying post then you are not the brightest cookie in a jar. I didn't play most tanks because instead of grinding like a normal person I had this problem of liking to consistently play tier X soo I was just on and off playing battles to regain credits to play a 62A instead of grinding new lines, doesn't mean I don;t understand how the game and most tanks function, stats is on the paper and I can play against this people in tier X a bunch + watching streamers to know what the tank is like.

I 100% marked the progetto before the nerf and played quite a lot after the nerf, so i think i did my fair share and even beyond of research. Everyone is saying the tank is crap or at best mediocre. Play the tank, see if your avarage DMG on it is any better than your other mediums and see for yourself. Or keep giving your opinion about a tank you never played.
Imagine how dificult it is to get the 350 elite points on a tank, if Skiel has 200 points on progetto, wuch is his favourite tank. Now I saw people with multiple artas at 350 points

Depends on how much money you pay and hows your rng and mm, as soon as i shut the wot plus i magically dropped 15%moe on my main tanks.

Yeah, I was not playing for some time. After I installed the game once again I was bummed to see proggeto is so bad...
I loved the progetto 65 and it was probably my favourite tier x medium. But nowadays i only take it out once a month or so for a ride to remember the good times.
It was my goto tier X medium but I stopped playing it shortly after the nerf. It's surprising how big a difference those relatively minor nerfs made. Having the front armor overmatched where previously it would have deflected is depressing.
Dear Skill, it took my a while to write down this comment so i hope you will read it.
Im 2,5years into the game and never had the progetto before nerf, I actually got it last week.
I played mainly heavies, but i have quite some hours on borat, char and obj140.
I perform better with progetto than almost any tank except is7 and maybe obj705a.
It might not have the dps of a tvp or 140, but it’s so much more flexible, can actually bounce on track and turret if properly hulldown.
The gun is good, i hit most shots, and standard ammo in pair with unique reloading makes this tank so much profitable for me, i feel zero need to spam gold as much as i don’t carry them.
Loading mechanic is so much more flexible and adaptive than other auto loaders.
Good damage per shot is huge benefit.
Decent hp allow for trading and the tank itself is very good in almost any situation, both long matches and 2 min ones.
I think the judgement from people is largely due to it’s previous state then an objective analysis of performance.
The game at tier ten is most balanced now then i have ever experienced (not so much on lower tiers), i guess this generally makes older hi skill playes with many tanks ready to play quite unhappy cause it’s harder to over excel in game during various meta shifts.

I’m enjoying this tank very much. I guess because I never had it before it was nerfed? I use turbo, vents, stabs and it’s great playing as second line support tank for the heavies.
Projetto was my first tier 10 tank tank is my favorite thing in the game but after the nurlrfs it's not nearly close to that what was before nowadays I will pick up the TVP every day....
I'm an average player, I don't have Progetto, but tried it for 1 battle on the test server this year and it was like 6k damage, plus 2k spot. I loved this tank and wanted to have it IMMEDIATELY. So I started grinding, and now collecting money for tier VIII Pantera.

Pantera is a good tank, it's like Progetto 46, just a tiny bit worse. It was not touched by the nerfs.
This one hurts. You inspired me to try and 3 mark t10s, and the Prog 65 was one of my first and one of my proudest ones
Ngl I still love this tank. Its not great but it plays well as a mobile spotter/harasser. The nerf was completely unnecessary but I still find it easy to get at least 3.5-4k combined each game.
I loved the Progetto, but when they nerfed I said in a comment in one of your videos that they killed the Italian meds!! It was my go to tank when I wanted to have some good fun, but when I played it the day after the nerf I saw the med line was dead!
I missed 3 out of 4 shots at a stationary WT 100m away and the last one was a critical hit, so I sold it immediately. Now it is a good memory.
Gosh, I'm glad I left this game. Sometimes I think about playing it, but someone like you thankfully restores my bad memories :)

Wg can easily fix it,change gun to 120mm and alpha to 490 that dpm goes to roughly to 2k per clip and it's still historical cause a 120 ~122mm was considered for it for real
I believe WG have made a mistake and should have buffed BC25t to make it competitive against TVP and Progetto-65-as-it-used-to-be instead of nerving Progetto 65 to what it is now.
The Progetto 65 still has a magazine enabling it to do serious damage to enemies, provided the game lasts long enough for reloading. Having said that, in my experience it's not nearly as good as TVP, though its gun-handling is better than BC25t and the auto-reloader makes its gun more flexible than BC25t.
Mine just sits in the garage.. and I don't even plan to play with it anymore after they nerfed it 2x.
honestly i only really like the Standard B now from that line
I did not mind the accuracy nerf cause it was basically just a better leopard trading the alpha and dpm for the flexible auto reloader. However the armour nerf is what ruined it for me.
The armour is obviously not like a heavy tank buy the upper plate and turret could get bounces way more often then leopard which made it a little bit friendlier for the non super unicums :)
Great tank. Camo rating is NUTS. I play it as a true support tank and only push battles I know I can win. Just about to 2 mark it, and will go on to 3 mark it hopefully.
As a f2p player the tank for me is between bad and average, too difficult to play, you have high risks and low rewards in comparison with other mediums tier X, I honestly sold the tank and moved the crew in the tier 9 that is still playable

a few years ago now, but i think i used this tank as a scout once on prokharovka as there were no scouts and got over 10k spotting. think that remains my best game in this tank
I just got the tank recently and I like it but it definitely needs a buff. The gun handling should be buffed back to the way it was before the last nerf and the DPM should be 2500 base, which isn't great for a t10 med but better than the awful 2200 it is now.
65 is rusting in garage, Standard B still played but the joy is somehow gone :-(
Even mouse got nerfed for this progetto video. Progetto is love, its not good anymore, but it has special place in my heart. I remember you loving it also and i make sure i put skeel comander in it.

When the cc commanders came out the first time, I played only progetto. And after I got you as a commander, I put you into progetto. It got a huge skill patch on the upper plate and everything. The nerfs really hurt. I‘m not really playing it any more.
The second nerf of this tank just ruined WOT for me after 10 years in this game - that and the fact that they've turned this game into WOT Blitz. I barely play now. RIP WOT

I researched it after the first Nerf, so i never played it in its "top notch" state, but it still was enjoyable for me...
The gun can be a real Diva, what, combined with the bad dpm, hold the tank back regarding its standalone potential!
To speak clearly: i expected an Buff of gun handling and precision to compensate for the low dpm inatead of WG nerfing it to death!
Its collecting dust in my garage now and all Bond Equipment is removed and put on other tanks...

Problem is the 15:1-15:3 simulator - it just lacks the dpm for such short games.
I just use Lion instead. Would love for both to be competitive.

Played it and Standard B for about 20 games each right after the nerfs and stripped all the equipment off of them. Still don't have the heart to sell them. Sad......
The Progetto 65 and the Standard B were never OP tanks... really fun to play and that was my first line in WoT, my first Tier X. They suck to be honest compared to other Tier IX and Tier X meds but I still love to roll out with them for the old time's sake.
Since i got my Lion i totally forgot that Proggeto even exists in my garage. Sad story for this tank
10mm frontal armor nerf was unecessary and uncalled for, now there is nothing to save progetto. wg nerfed it to allow pay to win lion more action

The progetto was my first t10 tank, and I used to play it all the time, and it’s still in my top 3 most played tanks. I took a break from the game, and the magic is gone. Mediocre dpm, bad armor, huge size (arty loves me), mediocre gun handling, underwhelming auto loader capabilities, and I just couldn’t find a way to play it that I couldn’t in the obj 140 easier. If the gun handling and dpm was a bit better, the tank could be great, but in its current form, there is no reason to pick the progetto over the tvp and obj 140.
It did not needed to be nerfed to be honest. WG's reasoning was also completely stupid as Progetto was tank in Top of the tree + it was key vehicle in BP.
It might have been OK if the nerf was not so big (it was not an overperforming vehicle before, it was just popular), then maybe, just maybe it would be OK. But IMO it was nerfed too much. So despite liking ITA MTs quite a lot I have to say it is bad now...
compared to what it was earlier, even after first nerf, it's total junk now. It's in my garage only because I don't sell tier 10 vehicles.
WG just did the progetto dirty to sell the Lion. Imagine getting nerfed just by being in the popular list of the month

I'm currently grinding this line - I'll stop at the STD B then. Not enjoying the P.44 anyway.
I am glad it got nerfed into the ground. It was way too good as a package, it could do literally everything before except have a raw-DPM fight. It had great accuracy, great mobility, OK DPM on the first shell when they had rammers. They could snipe all game, knowing that if you tried to advance on their position, you took 4-shells on the way their whilst they took none.
Late game their autoloader made them so deadly for finishing off low-hp targets, whilst getting lucky bounces in return because of their autobounce armour profile.
When they infested the game pre-nerf I hated them with all my heart.
I dont feel that big of a difference witv this tank, but maybe its because i never played with it in the original state when it was the best medim in the game.
Sold it a while ago , there is somthing about the mobility. Not a nimble med tank. I prefer leo, stb, etc

i took a long time to buy progetto because i hated gun handling of stdB and nerfed prog dont took my eyes in the moment
now that i have progetto i can say i love that tank and maybe its my top 5 tanks... tank just work fine for me, i snipe and i go in front and every time a find a tourist or a side clip in someone and always get 3k+ with him
Disappointing. I've been casually grinding up the Italian Medium line. I reached the Standard B right before the Progetto nerf, and slowed down to focus on other things while I waited to see how the nerfs shook out in play. Guess there's not much motivation to focus back to this line.
Maybe give the Standard B a chance, if interested in Italian autoreloader playstyle. Only one Italian med that stayed in the garage and playstyle wise it is very similar to Neglectto 65 before nerf. Of course, downtiered to IX, but much more fun nowadays than it's X counterpart.

Yeah, every time I play Spaghetto 65 after they've butchered it for no reason, more often than not I feel like I'm bordeline useless cause the reload even of the first fastest shell takes FOREVER. And the further you go into the magazine or whatever that is, the more useless you feel with how incredibly long it takes to reload every next shell. Currently Spaghetto 65 is just a miserable tank.
I’m sure we all have a soft spot for this tank, but with all the nerfs it just doesn’t feel good anymore.

After nerf played few battles and crew went to Pantera.
I mean nerf solely of one part would be enough, even before it was definitely harder vehicle to play well with.
But nerfing armor, mobility, dpm and gun handling.... Well, the existence of super expensive Lion must be justified somehow.
For me personally went from good to bad/horrible because why to spend time with such an good mood sink like Nerfgetto.

It was my favourite Tier X tank until it got that nerf because people played the tank too much on the Russian server. Now it is simply not so fun anymore because of the poor gun handling.

Wg should bring back the accuracy this tank had in the past, and maybe a bit of dpm. What made it good over other autoloader mediums was that accuracy and pen, and also the auto-reloader mechanic it still has ofc, but the gun now is quite more unreliable and doesn't pair well with that low dpm.
Idk why WG nerfed this tank again, honestly.
Haven't unlocked it yet, but I absolutely hate the Prototipo B, so not looking forward to the Prog.
It was my first Tier 10. I worked very hard for it. I made it work, then later, i enjoyed it. But now, they butchered it. Sad.

imo the Prog 46 is better than the 65
It's so bad it's not even fun, especially if you think that it got nerfed because "too popular", in fact i think that its ability to keep reloading is the only mechanic truly enjoyable in the entire game
The problem for me, is the reload time, cannot stand it anymore, it does not work. Nerf was too strong, it killed the tank, sad, I loved it.

Skill, I don't get what you mean. When compared to the Standard B (which is a really powerful tank on tier 9), the Progetto 65 is better in everything, apart from maybe 1° of gun depression. It can even bounce shots now and then. How not to like that tank? How to rate it so bad?
Imo there is reason to play progetto. Tvp is better in every way possible, other than the trollish upper plate the progetto has. And also the Lion exists.

I think too many people are judging this tank based on how good it "used to be". Rating a tank based on how it was before is not the way to do things. You need to look at it with fresh eyes, as if it is your first time playing it.
As a relatively newer player, with about 5,000 battles, I did the Progetto grind after the latest nerf. I never experienced it before when it was a lot stronger, so I can only speak on how it feels today. I think the tank is fine.
It has good standard pen and shell velocity when compared to a lot of other Tier 10 tanks. Decent premium ammo. It certainly can't snapshot enemies very well (that bloom on the move and during turret rotation is almost scary), but if you are taking the time to fully aim, it definitely can hit most of its shots. Of course, RNG may troll you for a battle or two, but that can happen to even the best tanks. It has decent mobility, and as for the armor not being very good anymore, there are plenty of other paper mediums, and I don't expect mediums to have a ton of armor except for a few specific exceptions.
Yes, there are better medium tanks. I'm not saying this tank deserves an epic or even a good rating. But I do feel like it is definitely not deserving of being called bad or unplayable. I feel like it is an average tank.
Finally a balanced review. All the kids upset that wargaming took their overpowered toy away seems to be the main theme of the comments.
Yes… I love this tank and there’s nothing wrong with it in my opinion. It’s a nimble damage dealer with turbo… 70+ kmh.
Pre-nerf = Hell yeah!! 🤗 . Post-nerf = Umm 'kay. 🙃 Still not bad, but was much better. 🍻
