My mind immediately went to the same place for a fix on the pixelated ink squares. "Surely adding a bit of water and brushing it will fix it." But when it didn't, I thought, "I wonder if you were to gesso it first, it wouldn't allow the ink to absorb so quickly and let the ink become more like watercolored squares. " I haven't worked with gesso much, so I don't know if it would have changed anything, but it did make me wonder. Sweet little page either way. 🥰
