We have obsesision about tidyness. It is not shame to be poor( as long as you try to change it) but it is shame to be dirty. I was shocked when I went to the bus in UK and people were living newspapers on the sit's or flour, if somebody did it in Warsaw people will swear at him and force him to take it.
@@supreme3376 I don't understand exactly what you said, but come to eastern europe you'll see dirty streets not maintained bad asphalt etc. Come to Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Bosnia & Hertzegovina, Albania.
It is a very original idea that you record just walking on the streets. You took me back to the years I have passed in Wawa. Thank you for bringing us a little Warsaw.
+Bard Gj (and others): It's well-made, but I wish he had turned aside here and there. In the Castle Square, he could have swung the camera to the left while still walking, to show the 3 mile view down to the river and across into the east of Warsaw. Those who have commented on the state of the roads - in most of Europe, children are taught, from the age of about three, "Take your litter home". It works.
If you like high quality beer, blue eyed pale blonde girls, history, skyscrapers, wild nature and you don't want to spend big number of money for trip to safe clean place Warsaw is perfect choice. It is also good place to work and live, Warsaw is the most developed place in central europe, we are out of manpower, we need any specialist
Nice video, but when you walked near the castle/ Zygmunt’s column you completely omitted views of the national stadium and the Wisla river bank. The view from there is stunning and you just walked right past it 🤔

My favourite city, so clean, full of amazing restaurants and bars, beautiful cultural sites, people are friendly once you talk to them, amazing place honestly
Great idea... I stayed in Warsaw in the late 60s early 70s... it's fascinating to be able to take a stroll through the city again. It's changed a lot... a little more time in the Stare Miasto would have been nice and this is a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Thanks.
I never realised cities in Poland could be this pretty. So clean and nice and the buildings are so picturesque. Just loved all the potted flowers along the sidewalks. Thank you for posting this video. I enjoy all your walking videos; so clear. Seems like I'm right there walking with you. Would love to see what some of the rural areas look like.
This is such a great idea. I lived in Warsaw for a year so this is such a cool video for me to watch. As Clint Flicker wrote, this is a very accurate title hehe
Looks like a beautiful place, well looked after an kept, this usually reflects it's inhabitants, good to see people taking pride in their country and themselves. Would love to go there someday, I am also fascinated by all of the history it holds, much of it tragic - which obviously adds to it's beauty and mystery knowing what happened there. Would love to experience some of their culture.
First time in my life i see an element of Warsaw . Thank you for sharing . This town is internationally unadvertised unpromoted and i wonder why . Thank you for your beautifully showed video . Helping us to see the world i had forgotten that there is a city named WARSAW !
I am a big fan of these walking programmes and record every one in a book. As I watch them, I tick them off. I have 83 recorded and so far I have watched 51 shows. An amazing experience watching them on my 65-inch HD curved screen TV.
enjoyed it immensely americans need to watch this and look at pedestrians babys in strollers families parents?look for thefts look how they walk how they carry their purse, ethnicity races etc listen to any sirens? you could not do this in any large city in america anymore
+ufolud He was talking about how when walking in Warsaw you don't hear much of police sirens (so it's more peaceful out there in Warsaw than in average American large city).
I came in with low expectations but I'm surprised. It's super developed, the streets are clean and lots of beautiful monuments. It looks like some of the bigger European cities. Why does Poland have such a low GDP per capita?
victoneter Agree with much of what leihoa said, but (s)he threw in too much politics. The performance of the government may be a subject of discussion (although it is rated high abroad), but it's a fact that Poland's taxes belong to Europe's lowest (CIT 19%, PIT 18-32% , VAT 5-23%). Also the prices are low, especially of non-tradables: apartment rent from 600 USD, taxi ride 4-8 USD, bread 1 USD. It's true that we need to focus on innovation. Although we don't focus on potatoes either (agriculture = 3.5% GDP) and actually produce high-tech goods (cars, machines, electronics), the underlying technology is still imported. This means that we earn less than we could on the goods we produce. Still, out cumulated GDP growth since 2008 (the onset of the crisis) is above 20% and it was even higher before it! We are catching up quite quickly. Need some more time, some more maturity in the society, which will allow a more flexible legislation.
leihoa We could discuss further the issue of public debt. For instance, the fact that the world's largest and most successful economy is also the world's largest debtor. Or the fact that corporations, not to mention banks and other such, treat debt as a business tool and use it much more extensively than (central, local) governments. But perhaps the issue of public debt is to some extent one of beliefs or values rather than of facts, so let's leave it as is. I would definitely wish from the government more incentives for innovation (R&D, HR, industry-academia partnership). And I would wish from the society more mutual respect and trust. :)
Kees, hartelijk dank. Leuke video. Kan niet wachten totdat ik de stad weer kan bezoeken in de zomer. Wel een beetje gevaarlijk dat je op de weg loopt op sommige plekken (of het lijkt zo). Groet!

+Olti Luisaku: this was largely the old town, which is traffic-free, and streets like Nowy Swiat, which are banned to private cars. Elsewhere, the traffic in the Warsaw area is what you would expect in a modern city - driving too fast, too close, and as noisily as possible.
