Now your talkin' with locales like this, AK! Malibu + the mountains + valleys of the interiors here were always our surfing, fishing + hiking meccas. I was an LACO animal care & control officer and medical tech for awhile here in the unincorporated areas from the Ventura County line to the LA City line at Sunset Blvd + PCH. Lotsa contact with celebrities. Also, we lived for 10 years on a big strawberry farm in Oxnard, very close to Camarillo + Point Mugu. Wonderful times in some settings that are almost history in SoCal! Wish I coulda ridden shotgun with you on this one! Big Thanks for this video!😎💯
Born here by the ocean in 1955. Raised here + worked younger years as well. It was wonderful, but all I wanna do now is to get back to family in Japan!! 😎 🙏
Thanks for your videos of Los Angeles. I have been to LA only once about 20 years ago and of course I went only the tourist areas such as Santa Monica, Dodger Stadium, Universal Studios and Disneyland. You given me great ideas where to go when I visit LA later this year such as hiking to the Hollywood Sign.
LOVED this drive - very beautiful ! And enjoyed the conversation a lot - I felt like I was there with you guys ! I miss California a lot - so this made me feel like I was there - at least for a moment 🥰. Nice job AK ! Looking forward to more California videos 🥰
Beautiful drive...the undeveloped portion of PCH before you reach Malibu is absolutely gorgeous with those expansive views of the beautiful Pacific ocean and it's unspoiled beaches! Great video, Sir!!
Yeah l agree with your descriptions 100%. I've been along that portion a few times too and especially on a sparkling, summer's day, that Pacific Ocean is a delight to look at.
Once again thank you soooo much! Hold in your heart how much these mean to those of us at high risk who can’t take trips. The color of the sky was beautiful on this day. Been here so many times but really missed it last year and this year. Thousand Oaks is Ventura County. Take a bow and know you’re much appreciated Ken!! 💜💙💜
At around 38 minutes they pass Neptune's Net which was in the original Fast and Furious film. Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker pull up out front then have a meal at an outdoor table. The driver should have known that and pointed it out. Oh well!
Wow, really enjoyed seeing the blue sky and ocean on this chill ride on the PCH!! 😍 💙 🌊 You guys even passes by Paradise Cove and Pepperdine!! I don't remember if I had driven on the Topanga Canyon to and from Malibu. I just remember getting really nervous driving on the winding Mulholland Drive, because I could potentially drive off the cliff. 🤣 Thank you, AK and Ron, for taking us on this ride! 🤗
Thank Ken and your pilot, sorry didnt remember his name, what a stunning coast road, knarly as hell but beutiful to boot, yes their climate is wicked like NY, what a treat to see this part of Calif; thank you
It's a shame that you didn't drive all the way to Santa Monica or at least drive as far south as Sunset Boulevard. You would have seen the entrance to the J. Paul Getty Museum - Getty Villa or would have driven by the building that had served as Old Hollywood star Thelma Todd's restaurant. However, I still enjoyed this video very much. I haven't driven through that area in a long time.
I just noticed that you came to Ventura county last August I live in Thousand Oaks Remember you had a conversation with a girl in your Macy store video last year n she said my mother is watching your live show now I am the mom who love your video very much n recommend it to my friends who live in Taiwan Thank you for your video almost daily!
That stretch of the PCH from Point Mugu to Santa Monica is one of the most scenic and iconic drives in the LA area. And one of the most scenic drives in the US too. Lot's of movies scenes, TV shows, music videos and commericals shot around there over the decades.
I worked at a Salvation Army camp in Malibu Canyon for 6 summers that butted up to 20th Century Fox Studio's & met all kinds of stars from the studios from the Mash crew to The Incredible Hulk both Lou & Bill. They used the 2 mile dirt road driveway to camp to film the opening Chips tv show where they were flying down dirt road on their bike & the pool was used for Charlies Angels. We had permission to take groups of campers on hike to watch Mash being filmed as well as some chips but I have to say the two I met that were a disappointment were Alan Alda from Mas who was mean to a little 8 yr old box who took a pic of him sitting in a chair so far away you couldnt even tell it was him if you hadnt seen him go sit down & he made the little box pull the whole oll of film out of his camera & then Eric from Chips again for being rude to a several kids after they were done shooting & normally Eric & Brian would do pics and sign photos but instead he pushed some little kids out of the way said I dont have time for any of these & he stopped himself & said dont have time for this crap & stormed into his trailer. Poor Brian was even shocked & staid until the last child took pictures and got signed photo.
I would have gone through Malibu canyon to get to the ocean- then turned up a few side roads- the Ocean views in the mountains are epic- then back through Topanga if you must. To get back to the Valley.
AK recorded this video on August 4 and this is the very first time it is being presented, to be viewed by his grateful appreciative fans! Premier = first time showing.

Thank you for this video. I grew up on this route and really enjoyed watching this as I live on the East coast now. Be safe.
Wish I had a penny for every time I drove from Burbank up to Malibu back in the 60's. Cheers, ActionKid!! :)
I’m in Burbank and that’s a long drive lol
@@Bloom2Grow Yes it is, but wasn't that bad in the 60's. I'm sure it would take WAY longer now. Cheers! :)
@@mmccartney6579 Are you from Burbank?
@@Bloom2Grow No, I lived there in the 60's after I got out of the Navy. :)

Thank You For Another Extraordinary Video Much Love Always Ms British Gray From Tampa Florida Blessings
Thousand Oaks is its own city, in Ventura County, about 40 miles from L.A. by car. Cheers! :)

Out here in California, we pronounce it "CamaREE-YO," since it's a Spanish name.

My old stomping grounds
❤❤❤❤
Sorry did you show actual Malibu beach ? Or was Malibu the ocean views while driving
❤❤👍👍
Thousand Oaks is NOT Los Angeles....it’s in Ventura county. It’s just it’s own place. TO.
Yes but people usually equate it next to LA especially transplants smh… they don’t realize there’s more to California than LA county
I was bored sorry all just roads id love to see the mini shopping mall and along pch with the beaches
🤗
