    Recommended space between units minimum 20cm/8 inches due to heat/vent.

    Keep your boxes. I had one of my 6 batteries crap out within a year. Ditto the 220v charger. Otherwise, my system (2x5000ES + 6 EG4 + 2 midpoint transformers) is doing well.
    Nice rack! ;-) The manual *does* talk about giving space on the *sides* of the inverters... I suppose if your shop doesn't get too hot, having the one side that close to the other won't be a problem....

    Good set up my advice "please if I may" I think you should have that set up in a small room, so it is protected in case something fell off or hit the units, in the small room they are going to be safe from any damages accidents can happen at any moment, also hanging them to a wall that can be done too I know that is really an expensive technology

    Looks like a great setup and it's clearly working well for you. You've got the room on the rack to spread those things out a bit and you should definitely do so, if you want to get a long service life out of them.

    I think for the purpose of testing placing the inverter very close together is ok
    But not adviceable for permanent installation. The inverter need enough space to blow out hot air through both sides of vantilatiation opening located at top right and left side of casing.

    I didn't realize Growatt had communication issues solved with EG4. Can you go over those details a little more? Which battery setting did you coose? Did you buy from Signature solar?

    • @5400bowen
      @5400bowen ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, look at reviews of Signature, they have oodles of really bad reviews. I tried to buy from them and got the same runaround a lot of others talk about. 2 hours on the phone and they couldn’t give me a price on shipping. And no promised call back. They either went downhill, or were there to begin with. Seriously, people who bought $30,000 systems can’t get warranty or tech support. Go look online for reviews yourself.

    Did you use any kind of MPPT Booster with your growatt spf500es? If yes, can you share your wiring diagram please

      @Keatin Hales it will shorten the life of them is the problem, not the most expensive inverters on the market but proper installation will give you the best results

    • @Projectzeroto60
      @Projectzeroto60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@todamnbad probably so but they don’t really put of any heat. Most load they see is the light I run which is 1/6 of there capacity. And I have 14 350 watt panels split on them so 7 on each which is very very compared to what they can handle. So I don’t think it will hurt them nor shorten their life. I used a infrared temperature gauge and measured the air temperature exiting on a hot day with full sun on the panels and the full load inside the building. It was only a couple degrees higher than the ambient temperature.
