  • If sticky waterfalls weren't on your bucket list before they definitely are now!! Just over an hour drive from Chiang Mai is the Bua Thong waterfall (known to locals as the sticky waterfall). This free attraction is a MUST if you've never experienced this naturally occurring phenomenon.
The mineral deposit on top of the rock makes it almost like a hard sponge where no algae or slime can stick. This makes it so you are able to walk right up (minus a few slips here and there of course 😂)!
Later on in the day we checked out the Sunday Night Market which is one of Chiang Mai's LARGEST night markets. We of course found some amazing street food before wondering the street with all of the other tourists. Definitely one of the busiest ones we've been too so far on this trip. Hope you enjoy the video :)

So interesting! Looks like it would be so slippery and yet it obviously not! Glad there were some ropes for the steeper parts. Still not seeing lots of 80 year olds trekking on by!
Thought the guy was putting chocolate on the crepe! 🙂

Love your video. Do you have one about the first sticky waterfalls you visited? Thanks

Thank you so much! Yes it's included in our video about Khao Sok National Park 🤗 it was part of the tour we did! No tourists (apart from our group), right in nature, and it was our first ever time experiencing sticky waterfalls! That hike definitely left an impression on us.
