Great video and helpful, thanks. I have only obtained a Montana 700 and have the OS 1:25k Pro v2 maps and tried this form of route planning whilst away on the Suffolk Coast last week. I had some really odd results where rather than just follow a fairly straight marked trail to the next point it was determined to veer off the path, right back along a road, up and down various side roads then back to the trail. Really odd! Almost as if there were errors in the OS Maps in terms of what it could and couldn't route. In the end I just used direct routing and just marked up as a series of points. I will try again elsewhere and test if it was just a peculiarity of following the path from Aldeburgh up to Thorpeness. That's the only complaint I have of the 700/OS 1:25 maps though - otherwise really good so far!

Steve, sorry to hear you are having problems. The UK Os mapping just has turn by turn (off road) only when within National Parks, therefore you are right to use Direct routing.
If you bought your unit from us you will see we set up two profiles for you - Hike and Hike NP, for when you are within a National Park.
      I hope this helps.

@@ukgpstraining Ah ok, that explains it. Just my misunderstanding then as I thought it applied to all marked trails, not just those in national parks. Wishful thinking! Thank you for taking the time to respond.

How do you undo a point if you mark it wrong

Hi if you have just marked a point in the wrong place touch the back arrow at the bottom of the screen and you will see all your pints numbered , touch on the point you want to remove and select remove then select Add point again to continue with your Route, I hope this helps
