Brian your content is 2nd to none. I love the fact that you’re not married to any one brand and that equipment has to perform. Besides your content, your videography and overall production is the best out there. Love your stuff! Real hunters…really hunting. Thanks for sharing 👍
What happend to Seek tents? You all loved them and talked them up as well. Why should anyone switch when spending hundreds for a tent? Pro/con vs Seek?
Seek still is a good tent. My guess would be because Brian and Ryan actually had a hand in creating this tent exactly like they would create there own.
They are still good shelters, but the features that the Peax has makes it a better fit for us. That’s why I would take the silnylon Peax over a different shelter that is in dyneema.
I considered the Peax due to your reviews, but found that the Seek Outside Twilight 3P was more what I was looking for regarding space and configuration. We have the Redcliff Lite for additional space when needed, and between the two tipi’s, when we have a party of 4, there is enough space to keep equipment out of the elements without bringing a gear she’d/tarp while maintaining comfortable space and drying capabilities.
I own two SO shelters and one of their stoves. They put out a quality product. While I am not looking to get rid of SO products I was VERY disappointed to discover that Seek Outside had taken a hardcore political stance supporting gun control and all of the rest of the liberal agenda that I oppose. If you support liberal causes then I would suggest you shop their web site. But as for me, they have seen the last of my money. I will never buy from them again.
Definitely planning on getting this tent and the sxl stove. Using your discount codes of course. Hope you guys are having another giveaway around Feb/March! I always love the content
Good look at the tipi and I agree about the condensation issue or rather lack there of when you have a stove rolling. Used a cheap tipi and stove last year for the first time and will never go out into the cold again without it. You seem to really be happy with Peax. Has it replaced the Seek Silex? And any word on it a bug inner for late spring summer early fall is in the works? Nate
How many puffy coat sleeves have you guys smoked? I love my Seek setup, but the pole /guy line features on the Paex look sweet, the seek gets buffeted by the wind
Ha not too many. It has happened to everyone at least once though over the years. The guy lines on the Peax work so good and the trekker brace system in the tipi canopy really stiffens it up during those high wind storms. It makes the tipi very robust and strong.
You can get the tipi with a floor. It connects to the inside of the tipi. I recommend still using some type of ground cloth such as Tyvek to keep any sharp stickers from puncturing your air pad. The floor is built out of silnylon which isn’t puncture resistant.
Check them out on the www.peaxequipment.com website. Brady Miller who is 6’5” or 6’6” has no issue in the tipi. Brad and I are 5’10” and lampers is around 6’1 or so.
@@GrittyGearAndPodcast good deal im looking for tent the only thing i wish the peaks had was nest gonna be interesting to see what they come up with thanks
Imagine being so good at killing animals that your buddies can't help but take jabs at you, even presenting a tipi review haha hippie prepper had my laughing pretty good. Chapeau Lampers, Lord knows we're all a bit jealous.
@@PHP354 - Utter, total, complete zipper failure. And Seek Outside builds single-zipper models and double-zipper models. Foolishly we ran the single zipper model to shave weight. But nowadays I recommend double-zipper models for everyone. We aren’t talking “snags.” We had 4 zippers replaced over the last 4 years. That’s why the zipper-less models being designed are legit.
Poor luck with their products and no one will pick up the phone for support. Peax is compensating these guys but the products are low quality unfortunately
Thanks for the heads up, was really hot for one of these. now you've you turned me cold on the Solitude. Could you please give more details. One thing I'm curious about is the 20D of the Solitude vs the 30D of the Seek Tipi's. Are you only talking about the Solitude or other products too?
Which products have you had bad luck with? We have literally put these things through hell and have had incredible results. We wouldn’t use them if they were junk! If we don’t like a product and it doesn’t stand up to the test we simply won’t use it and especially won’t push it.

Thanks for the info on the stoves. I bought the Peax tipi and wasn’t sure which stove to pair with it.
So will you be trading the OG tent in for the New Peax Dyneema version?
Definitely planning on getting this tent and the sxl stove. Using your discount codes of course. Hope you guys are having another giveaway around Feb/March! I always love the content
Hey Gritty, what size stove pipe are you running in this tipi?
Recommended length is a minimum of 7.5 feet. We either run a 3" or 4" depending on the stove.
Good look at the tipi and I agree about the condensation issue or rather lack there of when you have a stove rolling. Used a cheap tipi and stove last year for the first time and will never go out into the cold again without it. You seem to really be happy with Peax. Has it replaced the Seek Silex? Nate
We bring the Peax as much as possible. There just might be a nest system in the works 😉
I went with the Argali. It seemed to be more appealing to me. Double door too.
I like tipi designs. Tipi shelters rule. Good luck this season!
Awesome information! I love this TPI …Thanks guys.

Man, I need one of these for Alaska this fall!
What stovepipe length do you recommend?
Minimum of 7.5 feet.
The tent is awesome. I'd buy one tomorrow if it had a floor.
Landscape fabric or tyvek works well as a floor if you need to have one. Make sure to cut a hole in it where your stove would sit.
You can get a floor included with it as an option
You can get the tipi with a floor. It connects to the inside of the tipi. I recommend still using some type of ground cloth such as Tyvek to keep any sharp stickers from puncturing your air pad. The floor is built out of silnylon which isn’t puncture resistant.
@@GrittyGearAndPodcast won’t they get punctured without a floor?
How much it going for? How tall are you sir? I was born tall so need leg room. Thank you kindly

The mosquito nest is in the works. It’s a very cool design.

I’m definitely digging what your saying!
What _his_ saying? 😂😂😂
How fucked _are_ you? 😂😂😂
What about bears?
Bears don't need a tent.

Seek outside Redcliff has two doors...
Pretty sure you know that. Lol
It does. They are also vertical doors. We have had them fail many times. Especially if you are running the dyneema .
