- Funeral Train? WNYP AC6000s Towed To Conway Railyard - Rochester, PA. What a rare catch this was for me. I didn't even know this was coming my way. I just happened to stop in a spot near Rochester that I like to catch trains at and saw this train coming in eastbound. Saw that it was a train that came in either from the Cleveland Line or Youngstown Line. It had several Western New York Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives that, I was told, were being scrapped. Whether that's the truth or not is another story. These were originally built as AC6000CWs for CSX but were eventually downrated to AC4600CWs. Anyway, enjoy this catch and pace with this train!

Its a shame to see these big 60s go to waste, for me personally it makes it even sadder considering that the AC6000s are my favorite loco, nice catch of these old workhorses on their potentionally final ride
As a person who loves trains, I saw a funeral train for CP that were turning into the new CP SD70s. That was back in 2018 btw.
Cool Catch WallieB26.
Those look to good to be scrapped, I sure hope that's not the case, great pace Wallie
Thank you. Yeah I hope my friends who told me they were being scrapped were wrong. However I can understand why they would be if they don't meet the current EPA regulations for emissions. Plus, all of the WNYP engines and the B&H Rail Corp engine were dead in tow.
Going to that great railway in the sky.
Always enjoy your videos thanks for sharing and your knowledge of the trains 🚂
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad to read that you enjoyed!
Nice one Catches Wallie

Wow got to like the video
Cool catch
Excellent catches Wally
Great video. Love it. Thank you so much for posting this.
That's interesting
It’s sad to see them scraping some of those trains I wonder if the last few of those trains use to be old Csx trains like engine 5000
AWESOME catch!!!
Saw these in Conway as well, surprised to learn they are getting scrapped after WNYP just got them. I heard it has to do with the recent abandonment of certain parts of their line.
They actually are in Erie PA. At the GE plant.
Funeral train? Bows head in reverence and prayers for the deceased.
Why scrap them in less than 5 years of their service life?
They’re a complete maintenance headache
@@WesternNewYorkRailfan420 They're also not needed anymore, since the WNY&P recently mothballed a large amount of their trackage. It is sad to see them go, since it probably will be the end for them. I had thought they would be safe on the WNY&P.
@@TrainsAreReallyCool what happened to WNYP? Why did the business suddenly slow?
@@KidTrainCollector There was very little business along the trackage, so it wasn't feasible to continue operating it.
