If i draw equivalents Idol showdown is more like gran blue fantasy versus rising, and HoloHeaven is more like BBCF or GG how the games works. Graphically I think this looks more like skull girls. Looks really fun.
Copy Vision looking ahh special move for Subaru haha (iykyk) Glad this is still in the works. Though idk about including non-Holo creators like Sajam (if it's that Sajam?)

The visuals look dope and are very expressive and filled with character, but I feel this may have a hard time given the existence (and maturity) of Idol Showdown. Also, as an infrequent visitor, I'd argue that the title itself sets up for wrong expectations; personally, I thought that was going to be a story platformer or a shmup, it being a fighting game surprised me.
I value competition, and I like Idol Showdown, but considering how Idol Showdown is one of the inspirations for holo Indie, which is basically meant to make quality holo fangames more accessible via official support, I don't think seeing Idol Showdown as a hindrance to HoloHeaven is a fair critique. And if you wanna talk visuals and originality, I think HoloHeaven is already wonderfully distinguishing itself with its cartoony style. For example, Stars JP's demonic Oga's design instantly registering to me as a superhero before I even realized what his title in this game is.
Oh boy! I've kept my eye on this for a while, y'all are doing great!

It is that Sajam! Don't worry, he's not in the actual game. We just put him in the trailer as a one-off gag.

Sharp eyes! That is Sajam, patron saint of FG rollback netplay and Chipotle burritos
