Hi, I'm in the UK. We too are under lockdown and our groomer has had to close. I've watched several of your videos now to help me do the best I can for my two Coton de Tulier dogs (Boy 3 yrs Girl 9 months). THANK YOU SO MUCH for being generous, kind and giving. We usually take our dogs to a professional, but like lots of folk, I'm having to try (can't wait for them to re-open!). I ordered one for my Rizzi and daughter's dog Lailai!!! Cant wait to see if it helps with how they are when we dry. Also Rizzi has PTS from being approached by foreign aggressive dogs off leash in our neighborhood. Maybe it will help calm her when there are no dogs around. Already sent note to neighborhood.

I’ve used happy hoodies for about 2 years now and find it helps most dogs especially when I’m using the high velocity dryer. There have been a few that just totally refuse to wear one, the huskies in particular absolutely no way. It’s like really that thing is for wimps. 😂😂.
I agree:) Usually dogs with "upright" ears do not like the happy hoody:)

Covid 19 question! Sorry this is a little off topic but I think it's important!! I live alone & was thinking of what would happen to my dog if I got sick with the Corona virus? If I touched my dog then the virus would be on her coat and I'm afraid nobody would want to touch her & might leave here alone in my house for days.
So... is there a way to safely "sanitize" my dogs coat so people wouldn't be afraid to take her home and care for her? A receptionist at a vet's office I called suggested washing her in Dawn dish soap because it strips the oils. Then rinse well so the Dawn doesn't irritate the skin. The woman also said to make sure to keep it out of the dogs eyes because it will burn & sting the eyes. I thought this sounded like it might work. I also wondered about possibly using some type of medicated shampoo. What do you suggest?
MrWhitetail oh honey, I understand your concern but please do not touch your dog with Dawn dish soap:) yes of course germs can reside on our dogs coats but a simple bath will cure that. And I assure you if you get the coronavirus and somebody has to care for your baby, they will be somebody who really has the animals best interest on the front line. People care greatly about animals too so don’t worry yourself over that...your baby will be cared for if need be. There are plenty of people that would step right up to help animals in need because they are innocent in this whole unfortunate situation. 💕 stay safe my friend!
@@GoGroomer Thank you for your reply. I will skip the Dawn if it comes to that. I was concerned because I thought dog fur would absorb things differently than our skin. Hopefully I don't get the virus, but right now I'm sick and have the symptoms. It's mild so far but it feels different than anything I can remember getting before. I never get sick quite like this so I worry about my little Eskie girl. Maybe it just feels different because it's been so long since I have been sick. It may be nothing, but I just want her to be OK. It would be bad enough for her to never see me again & wonder why I abandoned her. I feel bad for all the animals that lose who they love & don't understand why.
@@MrWhiltetail I totally understand your concern for her. Reach out to a few people now in case she would need to stay with someone for a period of time incase you would need hospitalization. I would also let people know to tell whoever would be taking care of their dog that a simple bath (using only dog shampoo?) will remove the virus from the fur so they don't need to be afraid to touch and bring your fur baby home. They can just go straight to the tub when they get home. Give your dog a bath & then clean anything that could have been contaminated along the way and they will good to go. I was afraid someone would leave my little girl alone for several days or more until they were sure the virus had died and wasn't living somewhere in the fur. Now I will let them know a simple bath will take care of that problem.
