Balcary Point 13 09 2024

After a week of strong winds we finally got a break and some calm seas, it was an early high tide so we set out to catch the sun rise. A little chilly at first but it soon warmed up.
Plan was to head out to Balcary Bay on the southern coast of West Scotland, circle round Hestan Island then anchor for breakfast and come back on the same tide. It was so peaceful, calm and idyllic we decided to return back to Whitehaven on the second tide.
Amazing memorable peaceful day with plenty of relaxing and a spot of fishing before heading back through the wind turbines in a slightly rougher sea state.
