The downpipe upgrade was done all by myself. Please do not follow the procedure that i gone though because I am not an expert. I did it for fun and to gain my experience. I hope this video provide some useful information for the downpipe upgrade. Enjoy the video.

The 2KD-FTV engine itself has a turbo. Doesn't matter whether there's common rail VNT or No common rail VNT.
Invest in performance chips. I installed Alpha tech ecu & accellarator respond on my hilux non vnt. Performance wise can challenge hilux 2.8.😎

Tan Yaw Ming, I think it's better for you to remap your Hilux.
Do you have link to this downpipe? All I can find isbfor the non vnt and no intercooler.

What camera and how you stick the camera on the side during the night ride? The view is wonderful. Also I had the same non vnt 😂 frustrating. I wonder if there’s a swap that could be done in future.
Hi! I was using GoPro Hero 5 black and i stick it on the window using the suction cup from GoPro too. After driven around for sometimes, i found it frustrating again. I think ECU remap is the best choice.
@@TanYawMingTVChannel I see, thanks for the heads up brother. You lived in kch right? Mine as well, just got to remap it in future.. if only the vnt engine is cheap, would want to do a swap on that.

@@TanYawMingTVChannel I’m from Miri. Yes, I’ve driven a non vnt 2KD. A friend of mine remapped his 2KD back years ago. Quite responsive and light to lajak - his using it for off road purpose, big tyres and moderate body lifted.

hi. i didnt overhaul my engine. i just swapped the downpipe, replace the existing muffler to a straight through, BRC racing clutch and flex front mount intercooler
Can i know how much your rpm can rev . Maximum its manual right?

Is that a 3" inlet downpipe or 2.5"?
Not sure. I didn't take the measurements but it fits perfectly on the oem exhaust pipe

~I installed intercooler system ( behind bumper)
~EGR blocked
~oem exhaust resonator removed and replaced with straight through resonator taken from big truck
~downpipe upgrade
That's all I did. Nothing much. No rechip or ecu because I want reliability and comfort for daily and long distance

Hi boss.. ada perubahan dari segi response top speed ka? Berapa harga beli downpipe tu? Beli dekat mana?
Response lebih bagus apabila turbo mula kerja. Top speed hanya tambah 5-10kmh saja. Keseluruhan ada perubahan sikit sahaja. Beli kat STY dengan harga rm360 kalau tidak silap
