Peebs, just for future reference from a Lego enthusiast; always double check the Lego bags, sometimes pieces will stay in there. Been building Lego for 15 years and have never missed a Lego piece in a set.
Props to Toasty's editing. It never ceases to get a good laugh, and the dedication to the Eggman joke in this one was amazing. That, and the use of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 quotes really gets me. And the 06 Fandub.

In Sonic Adventure, He calls himself Dr Ivo Robotnick, and Sonic mocks him by calling him "Eggman."
Why he calls himself and everything he makes or conquer "Egg___" is beyond me. Maybe he wants to kill sonic with something that would embarrass him in the afterlife?
In Japan he was always Eggman so Adventure was their way of trying to fuse the two names together and bury the issue, sorta like how Charlie Nash in Street Fighter was known as Charlie in the West, Nash in Japan, so they just made that his full name in later games.

Yeah apparently he’s claimed the insult and made it an official nickname/ alias but Robotnik is his real last name as I understand 😅
In Sonic Frontiers the Egg-memos basically say that he Reclaimed the name.

Make sure when you’re emptying the bags you check to make sure they’re completely empty. I’ve had a few times where I thought i was missing pieces to set but they were just still in the bag.
That connector piece was actually not missing. If you look in some of the close-ups of the launcher thing, you can see that you mixed it with a different piece

Also, I’d recommend using some sort of dish or cake tray to hold Lego pieces. Makes it less likely to lose pieces.

I don’t know if you could do this but I would LOVE it if you did a Lego build battle with chad and it ends with two grown men fighting with Lego.

You were also missing pieces to the launcher? I was too. I was missing one of those weird small black pieces that had the ball on the end of it in the launcher in the death egg robot set. Funny how a consistent problem in a lego series works.
