Thank you for doing a video on these dolls. If I decide to buy one of these dolls I will display mine in the all white outfit they come with. Thanks to your video, I won’t waist my time trying to dye the clothes. Thanks again for another Rainbow high video!!!
I got the brown eyed girl. She's so pretty. Haven't dyed her yet. I plan to probably make her a brunette. I used Rit Dyemore on my other doll from last wave. A Dark blonde with pink streaks. It turned out so good ! I can't wait to dye this new one.
It's always interesting to see what color you actually get sometimes. I was hoping for more of a dark orange but it was so similar to the yellow. It worked out though.
@@BearlyUnboxed I’m not comfortable with super hot water but I’m thinking about trying the watercolors and just letting it sit and not wash it out ever
I think the doll looks fine in all white just the way she is. Those colors don't seem to really do much or add nice colors to the doll. I think the colors are too light and she may look better with the white hair. I would just buy the doll and remove her from the box and just display her as she looks in the box then just use the paint for something else or discard the paint since it does not seem to do much.
They are beautiful, thanks for the demo. The second one you showed is the same as the first one from the previous edition, the one with the markers, or are they different dolls from that edition? Could you make a comparison?
My pleasure to demo them! They are completely different dolls. The new ones have different hairstyles and they don't have wrist or thigh articulation. Plus the new ones have all new fashions.
@@BearlyUnboxed They may be very cute but the truth is my fascination is making them clothes. But as you say, they have their strong points and the truth is that their outfits are beautiful, thank you for sharing.
I actually thought about that after I recorded the video. I need to try that out in the future. I imagine they would work just as well as they did on the clothes from the original series.
@@BearlyUnboxed I just received my tie and dye doll, and the tie and dye powder doesnt realy stain but i tried the markers with a little water and that worked realy well!😁
The dolls themselves are really nice, despite not having the wrist or thigh articulation. The watercolor gimmick was really just trash though. I dyed mine using Rit clothing dye.
@@BearlyUnboxed I thaught so too, Is the one with the braids haired and brown eyes one can be remove completely ?. I do not have myself the urge or any idea to do any hairstyles if i got one of them because i like to keep it long and free just like that 😅☺️
Do you think acrylic paint would stay well on the clothing? I still need to do an unboxing of my doll, but planned on painting her clothes or sewing onto them. New to your channel.
Glad to have you here, welcome! I have seen others use acrylic paints on the clothes and it seems to work. I have never tried that on the clothing myself. I have used acrylic paint on the plastic shoes and that works great.
Thanks for the review. Question: RH dolls are known to have some quality control issues. Do you notice a difference when buying from MGA? Like dolls have no defects / prone to have no defects?
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the review. I have purchased RH dolls from various places and the quality control is all over the place, buying directly from MGA doesn't seem to make a difference. But in the grand scheme of things, I have had very few dolls with quality that I would deem unacceptable, in fact maybe only one doll out of my whole collection. Ainsley Slater probably had the worst quality control, I ended up getting a second one because her makeup on my first one was really bad. I used the bad one to make a custom doll.
@@BearlyUnboxed oh I agree. Quality control on Ainsley wasn’t there at all. I had to get her several times. Fantastic Fashion Jade also had issues with her lipstick. And the new Winter line Skyler has many defects with her eye makeup and hair plugs in her front line.
@@madlybs I think I remember picking out a FF Jade that looked the best. The Winter Wonderland dolls have some really bad paint face-ups, I can't bring myself to buy any more than Bella.
@@BearlyUnboxed I know what you mean. RH is my main collection so I tend to get all of them minus the new tiny ones. Forgot their names. But I won’t pay 29 cause I don’t like the gimmick and I’ll be replacing their skirts anyway. So 29 for just a doll is a lot.
@@madlybs RH is my main collection too. I'm expecting them to go on sale at some point, and probably end up in discount stores for $15-17. I might get them at that point.
These dolls are well-made, and creativity-play is always a 'plus'...thank you for showing us all of them! 💖
It was fun to try them out even if they didn't quite work how I thought they would. I'm glad you enjoyed watching. 😊💜
It's like they didn't test them out before releasing them
That's what I thought too. It was so underwhelming.

Yep I take your advice about this rainbow high doll watercolor set series 😍
So glad I could help! 💜
I love this song. My mom is gonna buy it in Christmas so if in 2024 in Christmas, she’s gonna buy it to me
That's so awesome! What a wonderful gift for you to get. 💜
I got mine! Yesterday it was fun!

I like these even just for their clothes & shoes.

I am thinking about buying the brown skin doll and then may I use my watercolors textile markers🤔
Oh, that would be interesting to see how that turns out. What a great idea.
It’s a till I aye I got the brown eyed and blue eyes one off of Amazon I have the blue eye one in my other hand
I hope you enjoy them! 💜
@@BearlyUnboxed I named the dark skinned girl amethyst because when I dyed her hair metallic pink and it turned out purple

I just got the purple eyed one at target today for 13.99

I totally agree. They all look great in just the white theme. I wish the colors worked better. It's sad they don't. Thank you!
I love your video. Little long. But cute. I subscribe right now.
Thanks for subscribing! I've been told a lot of my subscribers like my long videos. It seems even when I try to make a short video, it ends up long 😆
Maybe hot water would dissolve the powder better?
