You can cheat Nightmare train by using Gatling gun to force DJ off the train. I always use nightmare train for spam items. So for me, Akuma is more frustrating.
Punishing Akuma is hard to counter as D. Kazuya. Make sure you EWGF and combos as close to him and when he's spamming fireballs, just laser him after you sidestep, and REPEAT.
Hell Lance... That is how I do it. Just as he does his triple fireballs (after the third one). I had to move up or down and careful not to hit the edge as it would hit me, as soon I was somewhat close, punish it with Kazuya's demon dragon kick. People have used wind god's punch (uppercut) method, but for me, it feels risky to do so. (Especially when you can't predict if he'll do the jumping flip or his teleport.) Done on normal difficulty, no turning to easy. Never.

Nightmare starts hard as a first, but once we get used to it, it becomes easy. It will be the same thing with Akuma.
