You always make me lol! We raised 5 children and don’t worry about when they grow up and have families of their own! We were the party house too and this was especially great when they were in their teen years. To this day, we always have grandkids and kids at our house! Every Sunday we have from 7 to 20+ people for dinner and that’s just immediate family! When friends and extended family are here too, it’s just a bigger day of fun!
Whoop, whoop! Don’t worry pre teens don’t pay attention to how clean or messy a closet is. They are all just going to remember how fun it was. I love to do laundry and dishes. I know I’m strange.

Don't feel guilty, about your thoughts. Parenting and the young years are hard and overwhelming. You're doing great. I will say, I taught mine how to do their own laundry by age 13, because I hated it so much. They thank me to this day, ( 21 and 26). In college they had to teach others the correct way to do it. They also started to cook in middle school. They need these life skills. I do think you have a lot of excess inventory (laundry). Temporarily pack away over half of the clothes. You might not miss them. Give yourself a break! Love your channel!❤

I only had 1 child i couldnt have any more but our house was always the party house it was always full no matter her age and now shes 24 she has a 1 year old baby girl im 41 i love been a nana and for the 3 years she had moved out my house was horrible and queit i hate it i still do but now wee have the granbaby and my daughters friends have babys so they have started gathering in my garden again which im loving my little gran daughter is just amazing she just gives u lifw and makes me so happy its hard as i have hip dysplasia and have 1 hip replacement i was born with it byt its hard to keep moving i also forgot how mu h hard work a baby is esoeone thst is now on her feet and into everything and she never stops shes so funy she tells me no she shouts nana and runs n gives me kisses and cuddles and it just melts my heart

Maybe they can cut your existing extra tile down into strips and put that around the edge of the hallway and a new coordinating tile down the middle. Then it kinda still matches?
Kids never see mess and they wouldn't judge you love.. They will remember how much fun they have and that is due to you and Alex. You are the bees knees. I would have loved you as parents.😍
My house was also the party house, I feel your pain when it comes to clean up. So my family will rotate homes, bring dishes and will help clean up and put food away. And the children had a area to play in. Keep the parties coming but ask for help❤

Have you thought about laundry carts? Two sizable carts could consolidate dirty and clean without it falling all over the place. It could work, in theory. 👀🤓

Laundry, there was a time I hated it though! When 5 kids were very young and babies! I haven’t had an upstairs laundry! I think that would make it easier! We had six kids when we started hanging every thing! I would fold or hang right out of the dryer. We had a homemade rod next to dryer! Then when finished with laundry, called all the kids able to take their lunch clothes to hang in closet or drawers! Everything I could hang, I did! We put hooks in bedrooms to hang their own towels on!
My oldest just graduated from high school and I cried putting together the photo boards. I love my big kids. I love spending the day with my 16 year old daughter but somedays I miss my littles so much it takes my breath away.

Your comment about loving to watch your kids grow and knowing you will miss it is so very relatable. When you are in the thick of it sometimes it feels so overwhelming. My kids are now 17 and 19 it all seemed never ending for so long. I love the relationships we have now but also miss the past giggles and snuggles and all the things you are trying to absorb before they grow up.
Cooking, dishes and laundry in that order. DO NOT like cleaning the bathroom but who else is going to do it. :/ I love the videos. Thank you for spending your day with me.

Hi Kim! You were a cleaning unit today. I recall trying to get something done with kids running all over and one on my hip. Those were the best days of my life. When do you get to rest? I will be 72 years old in a couple of days and rest, memores and lonliness are about all I have. I only get to see my children and grandchildren 2-3 times a year. You'll get there too soon enough but do try to find a few things to do just for you. You deserve it!!!

Hi Kimberly. I was thinking for your hallway. Maybe you could line up the four xtra tiles that you have in a diamond pattern in the middle going vertically down the hall point and the fill in the empty spaces with a solid color tile that is made of the same composition and sheen. Or cut your tiles into 6 inch strips.That should give you 16 pieces to butt up against your baseboards on either side creating border and then you can fill it in with a solid tile. Once again same composition and shine.
what about using the tile that is under your islands... you don't need it under there... not sure how much you need but you could also take it from your pantry as that door is usually closed and you could put a matching plaine tile in there.

Hi Kim. Tile troubles….here is an idea pick a tile colour that goes well with current floor tile, blue grey etc. have it laid in a pattern such a herringbone or chevron. No worries about matching, just make sure you like it! By the time you sell I’m sure you’ll be downsizing to a much smaller home…after all you & Alex will eventually be empty nesters.😊
Can you take up the tile from the laundry room and put it in the hallway? Then pick something different/fun for the laundry room floor!

Laundry is the never ending job even for 2 people. Dishes never ending job too , I don't have a dishwasher...all by hand. I hate seeing pee drips or hairs on my bathroom toilet

Hey Kim, I'm a property manager and when we have to change vinyl in only one room, we try to find something with similar colors but a nice contrast to the rest of the flooring. It always comes together nicely, even though it's not so matchy matchy. HTH. Love you! 💜
