@@FruitfulMama Google wants to translate your comment. Apparently to "charm". I thought Encanto meant more like "miracle" or "enchantment", but I guess that works as well.
So Julieta says she heals Mirabel with “love for my daughter” Since each gift seems to be a double-edged sword, could she potentially poison someone if she cooks with malice rather than love?

I think Ben hears songs like my husband does. I call it 'hearing in shorthand' because you both get the idea of the lyrics, just not the exact wording. My husband does the same with audiobooks. He can rarely quote a favorite line from a book word for word, but he is always SO close! Also, did you guys see Bruno the second time in "We don't talk about Bruno'? The first time he is dancing behind Dolores and Mirabel. The second time he is in the doorway while the family is setting the table. When I saw him there I almost cried! He looks so sad that he can't join them. 😢 (I was wrong about Bruno. It is actually Mirabel. My TV was just too dark to tell.)
I can say I got 80% (12 out of 15) and the ones I got wrong were because of grammar, where the words were slightly different. So I’m going to blame that on my dyslexia so I did great!!!
*Big HUGS to Ben!* 🥰 Awesome effort! 20:50 - the plants mentioned in Isabella's song were researched by LMM himself. He talks a couple of minutes about having to become a "Columbian botanist for three minutes" about 12 minutes into a video called *"ENCANTO talk with Lin-Manuel Miranda & director Jared Bush - December 22, 2021"* by the Movie Report.
I just watched the movie like 4 times in two days because I love it so much. I never ever liked an animated movie so much I wanted to see it that many times! I am just finding little details and seeing things and small thoughtful jokes and movements I adore about this. Animators seriously left their heart and hands on this work. I actually play this with you :-) And I agree with you that Camilo got like NONE of the screen time even tho his character and voice is fenomenal
I got four questions. The only song that I've listened to beyond the one time I watched the movie was We Don't Talk About Bruno, so that's the only one I got all the questions right on
Lyrics are definitely tricky! A friend and I are writing a bunch of Disney song parodies for factions from the board game Twilight Imperium right now, and finding space to fit all the fun references into both the rhyme scheme and limited space is a difficult (but rewarding!) part of the process.
I have a basically photographic memory, but for musical audio, not visuals. So every time I hear a song, the lyrics are imprinted upon my brain instantly. Got them all, and my favorite is TOTALLY We Don’t Talk About Bruno.
Dude, I have had Camilo's part of We Don't Talk About Bruno stuck in my head since I first watched the movie lol Edit: Below are my guesses and I'll see how well I do
Is Ben ok? I know he didn’t win but he is always a good sport and I felt bad for him. Love everything you guys do, but I’m ok if J vs Ben goes away you produce so much other great stuff. I don’t want anyone to have hurt feelings
Should do this again but with all animated Disney songs. Three points per question. Finish the lyric, name the movie, and name the song. I also recommend telling how many words are in the blanks

Yeah I pretty much knew Camilo’s lines in ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ off by heart so that question was really easy for me
same
Camilo has my favorite line in the song. May make Bruno seem like some kind of nightmare terror, but it is just so good.
Right, it gets stuck in my head so easily too...
Same Camilo is my favourite character, he doesn't get enough screen time
Oh gosh how I never noticed! I have followed you guys for now a few years and not only that I have enjoyed you guys but also admired you! And you are in my neck of the woods! Even probably I have taken care of you (if you guys came with your dad to my restaurant!!! (Outback), what a joy noticing it! (Hint, the artwork with the star in the sponsor ad is what sold you), hope to see you soon!
I’m really good with Family Madrigal, Surface Pressure, and WDTAB but I’ve barely listened to the others so I was right there with ben
The "seven foot frame rats along his back" part came up and I got really excited because thats the bit I know the best because Camilo is my favourite character
Yess Encanto’s music is the best!!! 🔥
cant argue with that
I feel like this quiz unraveled a new layer of how these brothers' minds work... Like, I've always been a fan of music and musicals, and when I saw Encanto for the first time, I was enamored by every song that was put into the movie. This made answering the questions easy for me as I've listened to the soundtrack on constant repeat 😂
Got them all right. Then again, I’ve watched the film a ton since it came out on D+ and all the songs have just been on repeat in my mind 😅
Same
I loved the intro. It’s nice to see just brothers having a conversations and apologizing to there other brother for making it harder on his editing job lol that was sweet.
Feel like this is the first time that Ben hasn’t been an overly gracious loser. Is this his heel turn moment, I hope so 🤞🏻
This was the greatest, funniest ad I've seen done for manscaped yet, the tennis balls had me rolling 🤣 the delivery was perfection Ben haha
My favourite songs were the opening song, we don’t talk about Bruno and Isabella and Luis’s songs, but they’re all really good and super catchy, can’t stop singing them.
That’s over half of the songs in the whole movie 😂
@@Keebles8 The songs are so good it’s hard to pick a favourite, but if I had to be Luis’s song
*Luisa
I may not be great with lyrics but I knew all their names within the first watch.
@@AshleysAdvice I completely understand! It’s hard for me to pick too. They are all so fun and catchy. I think I like Isabella’s song the most personally
@@Keebles8 Yes that’s definitely up there for me, but it’s so hard to sing because of all the names of the flowers, so while I like it think it’s a beautiful song it’s not really up there on my list of repeats to sing, just because I find at the most difficult, but it’s still a great song and definitely in my top five.
8:54 I think it's great that J even put the repeat sign in there 👌
yayy, got 15/15!! this was the easiest quiz for me lol. not only do i memorize song lyrics extremely quickly, i've been listening to this soundtrack 24/7
Oh, same
Same and it was loads of fun they should do more of it!
@@Dianabtm I absolutely agree. I love Finish The Lyrics, even when it’s incredibly easy
Same 💜
I’ve listened to the music so much at this point that it’s tough seeing Ben like this but he’s got some spot on at least!
I root for Ben every year I swear I do 😂 but it kills me every time he gets a question wrong 😂
Hugs Ben. You did awesome with the Manscape add though. Very creative
You know you're obsessed when you get 100% on this quiz...
....I'm not obsessed am I...? Okay maybe I am
(I was wrong about Bruno. It is actually Mirabel. My TV was just too dark to tell.)
The craziest thing about Stephanie Beatriz is that Mirabel is closer to her natural voice.
14/15. Dos Origitas makes me cry but We Don’t Talk about Bruno is most favorite
I can say I got 80% (12 out of 15) and the ones I got wrong were because of grammar, where the words were slightly different. So I’m going to blame that on my dyslexia so I did great!!!
that's really good
Ben, you Did better then me of that makes you feel better!
Love your videos!! Keep up the good work!!
You guys should definitely do this again with other Disney musicals! I would love to see it!
I just started watching and I already know that, if they get a Dos Oruguitas question, they will both get it wrong.
The only song that I've listened to beyond the one time I watched the movie was We Don't Talk About Bruno, so that's the only one I got all the questions right on
5:32 Imagine her randomly being like "I NEED BACKING SUPPLIES!"
Now do a bonus round with dos oruguitas
Lyrics are definitely tricky! A friend and I are writing a bunch of Disney song parodies for factions from the board game Twilight Imperium right now, and finding space to fit all the fun references into both the rhyme scheme and limited space is a difficult (but rewarding!) part of the process.
We love to see it. 18 seconds ago. Click that nowwwwww
well done
I have a basically photographic memory, but for musical audio, not visuals. So every time I hear a song, the lyrics are imprinted upon my brain instantly. Got them all, and my favorite is TOTALLY We Don’t Talk About Bruno.
Dude, I have had Camilo's part of We Don't Talk About Bruno stuck in my head since I first watched the movie lol
Edit: Below are my guesses and I'll see how well I do
1) Everybody gets to shine
2) She can heal (fix?) you with a meal
3) a grand-kid round-up
4) (oh no...) regret or sad at all
edit: YES! iwassoworriediforgotitbutigotit
5) and flowers(?) grow
That candle being right by their elbows is making me anxious! Also, does anyone know if the candles still have charms in them?
I call this me screaming at Ben the whole time. I am that one Ben fan that was rooting for him the whole time
Encanto is my favorite Disney movie now, Lin Manuel Miranda turns everything to gold ✨✨✨
6:50 its a lot of work. like carying a house, or mantaining perfect emotional controll to not storm out the town
