This was the first motorcycle I ever rode. Same color, year & model. In 1972 I was 15 & my friend asked me if I wanted to ride it so I took it to the end of the street & back. I knew how the throttle, gears & clutch worked from reading motorcycle magazines. I was hooked. I worked all summer & bought a slightly used 1973 Honda SL100 the next year. I've been riding ever since & currently have a Honda NC700X.
I've got one of these sitting in storage with 125! original miles. Guy before me was a photographer who just used it as a prop. I've schlepped it around for almost 14 years now but one of these days it'll get brought back to its deserved glory.
A very nice looking restoration, most of CB100 in Indonesia already modified too much and lost it's original condition. Currently restoring Honda GL100 1995, it has same engine design with the CB100. Just few percent left in original condition, mostly modified for Cafe racer, scrambler, tracker or flat track.
Yeah when i look cb 100 in Indonesia, they modified the bike look like Thailook and i think it's very fool because the art from old bike is good original condition look like brand new from factory
This is the first motorcycle I owned as a preteen my cousin had a friend who was selling it for dirt cheap was like new I was only looking for a mini bike didn't even know how to ride a motorcycle shifting gears clutch etc.brings back memories wish I had mine back nice job
Thanks video...this motor bring back memories when my dad go to work and pick me up when going home after school.. So classical motor ....but now my dad is died by accident and the motor cb100 wrecked
cb100 my first motorcycle, great little bike just wish modern bikes where as good but some of the rubbish Honda sells in the UK are just toys rather than real transport
Robb Breckenridge The side covers were sourced on eBay, where they're about $40 a pair with fairly expensive shipping. Look for the side covers that have the new badges already on them.
+Vintage Motorcycle Rescue hello, I'm restoring a cb 100 just like this. i need to replace the rubber air carb intake from the air box to the carb. did you have to replace this on this bike? where would i locate one? glad to see you restore these old bikes.
***** The Honda model year production change over occurred in July of each year, so a bike that has a Federal VIN plate that says 10/71 would be a 1972 model. The idea was to get the new models out onto the show rooms in the USA market as early as possible in the new year, and it took 2-4 months to get the crated bikes here by ship.

Side cover information and sticker info please!
Side covers are NOS Honda, stickers are repros, all sourced off eBay.
They do them like these anymore, apart the new honda monkey and cub125 honda should re introduce these as well.

Do you have an Email..? I have a old Honda CB100 given to me by my father but now it is in very bad shape almost every part of it is rusted.
Nice!
specification please
How could you remain this condition without painting.
You have to find a good example that's been well cared for, with low mileage. Paint can be restored if it's all there.
I like it.. Can my Restoration cb 100 78

Agum Gumellar this bike wasn't for sale, it was restored for the owner and returned to him.
I know that, i mean how much to fix motorcycle if there is many broken, because this is old motorcycle, until getting a good motorcycle like that ?
Restorations run generally $5000 to $15000 depending on model bike and condition.
I have once
Butifull
I have one just like this and the serial tag says 10/71 so wouldn't that make the bike a 1971 model year?

What would be an estimated dollar amount invested in this restoration?
Good baradar
Top speed?
60 mph downhill.
I got an indicated 67 downhill with mine, I think it would do a little over 60 on the level with a lightweight rider
