Honestly this sounds like something out of Super Paper Mario.

A lot of this game reminds me of Super Paper Mario. Certain animations (like the defeat animation for the airship boss looking like Fracktail's swirly eyes) feel like references
the slo-mo/fast-mo in the desert world is DEFINITELY an SPM reference

The Wonder Flower has been the best thing they could have included in this Super Mario game. It has so many different effects that makes it fun and expect the unexpected.
I hope the next game features Wonder Effects too, although perhaps under the guise of a different item and name, like Cosmic Miracles or something. Any ideas for potential new effects?
@@themightygallium9509 Honestly best to not overuse this mechanic, maybe make the flower an easter egg. Meanwhile, the wacky wonder-like mechanics integrate them into the main level by default
@@daridon2483 I mean, many of the best recent platformer games out there rely on gimmicks to do well. This game had the Wonder Effects, Odyssey had the Captures, and Kirby has had a wide array of innovative switchups over the past decade, from robot suits to vore.
I'm just stuck here thinking about how upcoming 2D Marios can keep things fresh.

I love Wonder Flowers as much as the next guy, but no matter if you love them or hate them: They have NOTHING on Talking Flower humor, personally.
Yes talking flowers are chronically cringe and built to be the most tolerable annoying repeatable dialogue in the world, that's hilarious! (To me..)
So then I thought: "Why not have the Wonder Flowers THEMSELVES speak?"
I mean it shouldn't be completely impossible, the Talking Flowers already broke all the rules of the Geneva convention of floral hygiene with their *nastily* funny banter, why not let the new main "power up" get in on some of the speaking action?
