First of all check your internet connection. If you’ll make connection again, then remote user get a dialogue box of start casting..The connection will not be made until the remote user presses start now.
For black screen problem, can you send me a short video while you make connection So that i get what is the exact problem that you are facing.. Because at my end, i haven’t seen this type of problem If you want to send me short video Then send it on Instagram #techymaze

According to me, Waiting for image dialogue opens when remote user will not press start now button..

Installing this app is not a solution to solve lagging issue.. you should have to add SSD for smoothness if your PC support this.
