@@tripaccino Thanks.. This will take the price even closer to 20 Lk (On road). In fact I was searching for an article on How this price has been fixed for Gurkha vis-a-vis What they offer. Could not find it.
@@limescotch428 Its basis is a niche product pricing. Not volume product. So they think it will sell what it sells, with or without marketing effort. Whatever sells should give high margin. thats the pricing strategy, rather lack of it. Benchmark pricing is Thar Diesel Manual 4x4. Goes up with it.

I think ground clearance and increased power will hit 🎯 and nothing else, it's already a proven beast.... as price also plays an important role to be in competition. With Jimmy 5 door and thar 4x2 will be cheaper with smaller engines.
Yea true. But I reckon some price jump is unavoidable because ad blue itself will push price up. Add 18’’ alloys and interior spruce like a bigger touch screen and we are looking at a new sticker price far from vfm
@@tripaccino let's hope it will be in my budget.. but if you see Gurkha 5 door spy video interiors are same as current model even 4x4 lever is there ... What are your views ?
@@cartechbyankit8073 we need to understand the 5 door and the 3 door cater to different sets of audience. Heck I’ll argue that they are to be viewed as different vehicles totally . My prediction is that the 5 door will bring in more volumes than the three door did because of practicality and family acceptance. The three door will continue to serve the niche and spruce up to the discerning customer willing to pay for particular USP’s of a 3D SWB gurkha. My predictions are hence for the 3D particularly. Price is mostly dictated by fait accompli adblue and that 18 inch alloymarket demand . Interiors and a bigger screen actually don’t bump it up much. But price will logically have to go up.
The Gypsy what I'd driven since 1988 is OK for the young and it sure wasn't one of the most comfortable it's suspension isn't going to compare with the Gurkha though being lighter it's manouverability off roading would be to its advantage
No! This turn selector is not a part Of Gurkha character. Need Bare to the bones old fashioned Defender style Gurkha without and electronics drama ! Because once you dive in water with these vehicles you need to come out back!
Im a purist mechanicals type guy and want minimal electronics in my off-road spec. Thats why I’m glad I picked mine up before the market and regulations dictate such frills. Happy I cut in even before ad blue. I love the stick shifts and I’m happy with it. But you and I both should accept that even the old defender is not defender any more. Market demands what it wants and makers have to give what market needs to keep the beans counting. The present gurkha is pretty bare to the bones as such and the sales numbers indicate many don’t share our enthusiasm for mechanically simple offering. So this video is my unbiased analysis and not what I personally want 😀🙏
Today had discussion over phone with some reliable source of Force Motors and was confirmed that Gurkha 1st April onwards will be with 115 bhp engine. 😀 But in the other hand there is no possibility of 5 door Gurkha before Diwali ☹️
Good predictions. BTW, What is Force doing to provide the enhancements to us 2021 beta testers? Shouldn't it do mandatory recalls and upgrade the systems free or nominally charged? The goodwill from this can go long way to build user base.
I agree with you and would appreciate it if the company can actively inform earlier batches about the upgrades and let us swap upgrades even for a cost, We beta testers need to be taken care for investing trust in the product before anyone else .
Hi Information you shared is spot on and the way you modified your DJANGO is awesome. I’m planning to buy gurkha next month end of feb but after seeing your video i’m waiting for force to come up with some mechanical and technical updates. Just a suggestion when should we expect these updates from force becoz 2023 jan model doesn’t have any kind of update from 2022 Need your suggestion should i go with the current model or wait for some technical updates from force motors ??
If you notice my video keenly, I discuss why April is a milestone. The CAFE and BS6.2 norms make it impossible to continue with the present model. So they would have to introduce these changes and bring in the new model after April. Heck, even registering the present model will be difficult after 01 April. Therefore Force must be trying to clear off existing stock before that. So Jan models would also not have any new upgrades. So , if you feel the current model is enough for you. Advantage being purely mechanical setup and lower cost and no ad blue then it would be wise to pick it up now. Even better in March when the dealers would be trying to exhaust stock before 01 April milestone. This is when the best offers would be there provided stocks last , as I believe they would also be throttling production accordingly. If you find these upgrades beneficial Advantage of more power, some tech added and bigger screen bigger tires and some associated complication of adblue. Considering that the price will surely go up. If you find value in paying more for these features, then it’s definitely better to pick up one after launch sometime in Apr- May I expect launch. But even then if you can wait , observe teething issues ok these newly introduced tech like electronic dial and Ad Blu and then wait for them to improve it and pick up the second iteration of the BS6.2 model. That’s the best advice I can give you, Share this video with your friends as I find many viewers have the same question you have rightly asked . 👍
@@Anupamsingh69creed Sure thing. Glad you found it helpful. Hopefully more people find the value in such well researched content. Else I should also start making tug of war videos. :D
@@tripaccino Do you think ADAS is not needed for our worst traffic + road conditions and crazy drivers - i think its a must safety feature available in all upcoming affordable models - if you wish send this note to your gurkha r&d team.
I was hoping to buy a Gurkha. I called the local dealership and he was less than enthusiastic about my call and neither did he know anything about the 140 Bhp engine. So, my first impression of Gurkha sales and aftermarket service is so far very negative.
In typical Force style, I guess most of the downstream chain is in the dark. No one knows when the new refresh 6.2 will be out. I expect June- July and the 5 door by festival season, sales and service are inconsistent geographically. Hit or miss
I would like it if they can make the 2.2 engine compatible and plonk it into the Gurkha at 140 tune..but they have resorted to economic Standardisation -makes it easy for a company to manage engines and spares across the board. All mechanics easy to skill on one type of engine and all spares available. Entire fleet including Urbania at 30+lacs is pulled by the FM 2.6 CR
Gurkha design is nothing but smaller Trax .... Five door gurkha is only Trax... Which runs in village as long trip Taxi for 15-16passengers... This Trax look design could be one reason for less sell. I like this offroader but by look and ground clearance I skipped.
Planning to buy this beast but few things what Gurkha is lacking i.e. its low BHP and ground clearance that’s the thing making me thinks again and again. I hope in 2023 model they will raise it up to 130 bhp at least and as far as it’s ground clearance issue they will also resolve it.
Engine power and lower control arm design will both be changed 👍 Things should be interesting with Jimny and Thar and Gurkha all launching 5 door variants
Electronic shifter transfer case is Borg Warner, which was used in extreme with manual shifter similar to old gen thar. Though it is modern ,lighter due to aluminium housing and chain driven. But not as robust as the present Gurkha transfer case which is gear driven,That’s why it’s bit hard to engage. It’s design is similar to SML Isuzu 4wd. G32 is needed, it is must incase remap or towing duty
@@anandkenkare Your guess is as good as mine. As I said in the video, 01 Apr is milestone for many reasons besides national budget like BS6.2 and CAFE2. So all carmakers would roll out only after incorporating and accounting for new regs. So expect launch after that - depending on speed and aggression of each brand.
That's a joke- sarcasm @kanakkumar2 . The first batch owners like us who test and live with the + and - of the cars so that car makers can later update them quietly. I don't work for Force.
Bravo.. very impressive! Your videos enlighten us well, you sir make it so easy to understand. Today Force Gurkha dealer confirmed .. new version launching in October With 18’ alloy, higher bhp, interior changes etc So most of your predictions are accurate 🙌🏻
Force should have made current gurkha as capable as the discontinued gurkha xtreme, it had amazing articulation, where as current gen is just a joke. Looks good but for nothing.
i have discussed the advantages of the xtreme in another video. It is by far the best gurkha, till date. BUT, the BS6 Gurkha does certain things extremely well which the Xtreme cant do. So to dismiss it as 'just a joke' is not really a comprehensive observation
Excellent suggestions 👍 However don't you think that for a vehicle costing close to 20L, they should add a few more features like climate control, a better infotainment system than Kenwood, kneepads, controls on steering etc etc to make life a little easier and comfortable.
On spot suggestions.. You just pressed all the right notes... This is, exactly all of us, want in our gurkhas...

3. Console connectivity
4. Rear / parking camera mounted on top and sensors on bumper.
5. Optional AC vents for 2/3 Row
6. Hill assist
7. All disc brake
8. Second and third two seating safety

Not insider insight 😂- just observation and analysis 🧐 maybe hit or miss. I prick and bleed same as all other owners with the gremlins 👿
🙏, Irrespective of the upgrades as expected and contemplated by you in this informative video,
how much of a price difference you are expecting in a 5 Door as compared to 3 Door.
I wouldn’t know exactly but a ball park estimate would be as follows
4x4 3D RsX
4x2 5D RsX + 1lac
4x4 5D RsX + 2lac
4X2 3D RsX - 1lac ( may not launch)
@@tripaccino Thanks..
This will take the price even closer to 20 Lk (On road).
In fact I was searching for an article on How this price has been fixed for Gurkha vis-a-vis What they offer.
Could not find it.
@@limescotch428 Its basis is a niche product pricing. Not volume product. So they think it will sell what it sells, with or without marketing effort. Whatever sells should give high margin. thats the pricing strategy, rather lack of it. Benchmark pricing is Thar Diesel Manual 4x4. Goes up with it.
@@limescotch428 I could make a video on it, but not many would be interested. You can read about this on my review. Just google "island gurkha".
@@tripaccino Yes, may be if it starts selling in volumes (better than today, not like alto does), may be if not Price Skimming then less gradual increase of price they will do, making it fit better in pocket of the right segment.
The Gypsy what I'd driven since 1988 is OK for the young and it sure wasn't one of the most comfortable it's suspension isn't going to compare with the Gurkha though being lighter it's manouverability off roading would be to its advantage
interior and some features like hill hold and hill decend etc...
I reckon some interiors spruce up is also on the cards.
I like to go for this current bs6 decent gurkha with good off-roading skills.
Do check out my other videos on the gurkha and tips to improve your 4x4 and offroading skills in sand also!
Great Information 👍👏😊
Been 11 months will the gurkha get these updates
These updates are coming definitely. When the gurkha is coming is the question that we are asking Force
Quite impressive. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
@@tripaccino Yes Sir! Completely agree
Thank you sir
So nice of you
Today had discussion over phone with some reliable source of Force Motors and was confirmed that Gurkha 1st April onwards will be with 115 bhp engine. 😀
But in the other hand there is no possibility of 5 door Gurkha before Diwali ☹️
April 1 is fait accompli - has to change over to new specs with AdBlu because of 6.2
🤔 115bhp. The Traveller tune.😁
@@tripaccino yes with adblu
Good predictions. BTW, What is Force doing to provide the enhancements to us 2021 beta testers? Shouldn't it do mandatory recalls and upgrade the systems free or nominally charged? The goodwill from this can go long way to build user base.
I agree with you and would appreciate it if the company can actively inform earlier batches about the upgrades and let us swap upgrades even for a cost,
We beta testers need to be taken care for investing trust in the product before anyone else .
Too much expectations!
I'm satisfied with what Gurkha BS6 has on offer.
These are very basic necessities.
Hi
Information you shared is spot on and the way you modified your DJANGO is awesome.
I’m planning to buy gurkha next month end of feb but after seeing your video i’m waiting for force to come up with some mechanical and technical updates.
Just a suggestion when should we expect these updates from force becoz 2023 jan model doesn’t have any kind of update from 2022
Need your suggestion should i go with the current model or wait for some technical updates from force motors ??
Yes, definitely
That’s the best advice I can give you,
Share this video with your friends as I find many viewers have the same question you have rightly asked . 👍
@missmysonu
@@tripaccino thankyou for your advice brother, really appreciate the way you explained. Hats off keep rocking
@@Anupamsingh69creed Sure thing. Glad you found it helpful. Hopefully more people find the value in such well researched content. Else I should also start making tug of war videos. :D
Has very poor ergonomics. Not sure if they can do anything about it though.
Wish they had automatic transmission
ADAS LEVEL 2 ?
😹why ?
Hit or miss
Perfect, a knowledgeable person like video, otherwise people just sought and speak anything
THanks for the comment darpan!. Please do share with those who would find this channel useful
Recently Visited Force Motors. Got the news that the engine will come with 130hp. The price hike will be around 2-2.5 Lakh.
So you would confirm my early predictions ? 😺
It's already 17/18 Lakhs with old school interiors😢
Hilux like, luxury, powerful pickup version with 4x4x4 wheel drive + automatic version !
Like the Force Ksatria Indonesia ?
Everybody in the world and their mother-in-laws 😄😄😄
Kya 2.6fm engine kabhi nahi badalega
I would like it if they can make the 2.2 engine compatible and plonk it into the Gurkha at 140 tune..but they have resorted to economic Standardisation -makes it easy for a company to manage engines and spares across the board. All mechanics easy to skill on one type of engine and all spares available. Entire fleet including Urbania at 30+lacs is pulled by the FM 2.6 CR
NICE TO KNOW ABOUT IT BUT IT'S LATE I THINK
Just don't remove manual 4x4 lever that's it, I just want that
I’m glad I bought it before BS6.2
Simple pure mechanicals 🙏
Gurkha design is nothing but smaller Trax .... Five door gurkha is only Trax... Which runs in village as long trip Taxi for 15-16passengers...
This Trax look design could be one reason for less sell. I like this offroader but by look and ground clearance I skipped.
JUDO was born from the Trax and the Gurkha was born from the Judo.
Planning to buy this beast but few things what Gurkha is lacking i.e. its low BHP and ground clearance that’s the thing making me thinks again and again.
I hope in 2023 model they will raise it up to 130 bhp at least and as far as it’s ground clearance issue they will also resolve it.
Engine power and lower control arm design will both be changed 👍
Things should be interesting with Jimny and Thar and Gurkha all launching 5 door variants
I wish. But Force motors has this habit of ignoring such wishes.
Waiting to buy the 5 door and hopefully with 140bhp
That’s a Good call. You will get 👍
@@tripaccino Could you get some inside info on the launch date for the 5 door?
@@anandkenkare Your guess is as good as mine. As I said in the video, 01 Apr is milestone for many reasons besides national budget like BS6.2 and CAFE2. So all carmakers would roll out only after incorporating and accounting for new regs. So expect launch after that - depending on speed and aggression of each brand.
Sir I feel they should update the dash& make it look more interesting & add climate control
A little refinement in the interiors is coming up ⬆️
Great to know that you are a Beta Tester in Force.
That's a joke- sarcasm @kanakkumar2 . The first batch owners like us who test and live with the + and - of the cars so that car makers can later update them quietly.
I don't work for Force.
Shd hd come with auto tranny
Not happening 🤕G32 5S Manual is all we get
Bravo.. very impressive!
Your videos enlighten us well, you sir make it so easy to understand.
Today Force Gurkha dealer confirmed ..
new version launching in October
With 18’ alloy, higher bhp, interior changes etc
So most of your predictions are accurate 🙌🏻
All my predictions are true 😉that I can confirm
Force should have made current gurkha as capable as the discontinued gurkha xtreme, it had amazing articulation, where as current gen is just a joke. Looks good but for nothing.
i have discussed the advantages of the xtreme in another video. It is by far the best gurkha, till date. BUT, the BS6 Gurkha does certain things extremely well which the Xtreme cant do. So to dismiss it as 'just a joke' is not really a comprehensive observation
No electronic plz. Manual everything. Keep it simple
I’m glad I picked up BS6.0 and not waited for 6.2
Excellent suggestions 👍
However don't you think that for a vehicle costing close to 20L, they should add a few more features like climate control, a better infotainment system than Kenwood, kneepads, controls on steering etc etc to make life a little easier and comfortable.
That would be cool! But I think they’re in the dark gloomy grey zone between utilitarian truck and comfortable SUV.
Interior
Updated trim inside 👍 bigger screen 👍
@@tripaccino other than infotainment
@@vikastanwar9707 Interior screen is bigger than the present inset Kenwood.

@@tripaccino if those changes are 100% shure then i will buy gurkha
@@bharatbhushan1801 Wait till April, thank me later.
@@tripaccinoit’s because in april bs6-II norms are to be implement?
That’s why you are saying so we should wait till april ?
Still with all these new upgrades, it will be a primitive non practical car.
…but a practical off-road truck. That’s precisely the difference.
