I really like that you "approve" of pop music although you're an opera singer, which is pretty much the opposite of pop lol. Most opera singers and classical musicians act like contemporary songs are "less" than classical music.

I have to agree with you on the 'relationship' idea, tht all these current songs have to do with a single relationship. Her first few songs Drivers license, Good 4 You etc all seem to be a variant of the early Taylor Swift route, of using a relationship as motivation to write almost vengeful songs colored up to be 'pretty' ie Shake it off, Blank Space. The visuals of the room on fire and their is mention of 'sociopath' my thought is 'yep, early Taylor Swift'. The final scene where Olivia is in the water, I'm wanting to see a huge Shark Fin somewhere in the near distance ie Jaws. I think one difference between Morissette and Olivia, is that Olivia has a lot more US airplay, because her big break was in a local US show, called something like High School Musical? Both women are good, but still more a Mori fan
I don't listen to Taylor Swift but I am aware that her songs are very relationship driven. And I mean, why not? It's great motivation and if you're a great song writer they turn into fantastic songs that many can relate to. My favorite part of this video was when she was in the burning room and the floor was flooded and she started grabbing her hair and singing in a frantic mode. Very well played! Yes, I believe Olivia is more popular here in the states because of the series she did about High School Musical. That show is popular with the generation after me so I hadn't heard of it until recently. I watched a couple episodes to get an idea of who she is as an actress. Not my preferred type of show to watch, but her acting skills translate very well in her music videos ☺️

You have perfectly presented the path of madness of the protagonist, both for her voice tones and for the rhythm of the song. Now the important thing, your analysis, as always, outstanding. It's a pity that there are many people who have never seen a video of yours, because, unfortunately for them, they are missing the best song analyst there is today in TH-cam. On the other hand, I'm convinced that anyone who watches one of your videos will be automatically hooked by your quality as an analyst as well as by your sympathy in front of the camera.
