I agree that you can't interrupt Diana when she casts a mezmerizing spell on you till she is done with a performance. Her sound is almost alien in that we have no reference to use in history as an appropriate baseline on what she is doing. The woman in white and glasses clasping her hands as she listened to her is her adoptive mother that saved her, then found and nurtured her talent. The Crow is another equisite jewel Diana performed 4 years after this one.

Another great example of het talent is her rendition of "Ornery Horses", a song written and performed by the poet Vladimir Vysotsky. The song is about him realizing that his alcohol and drug abuse will ultimately kill him, that he is aware of that and struggles between living with and living without this abuse.. The text is really deep, using the metaphor of him sitting in a sled whipping his horses while at the same time begging them not to listen to the whip and slow don. If I'm right Diana was 17 years old when she sang it for the first time, and it is unbelievable how at that age she is able to come to the core of this dramatic and poetic song and performs beyond and above the expectations of even her own teacher. As I have said before, you have a very nice and warm voice that makes the listeners relaxed while listening to your reactions. You will be blown away again if you see her performance of the song "Oh darling" at the age of 10(!!), and "Puttin' on the Ritz" at the age of 13. Her larynx etc gave her some incredible vocal abilities, i.e. an instrument. But her influence depends on the feelings she needs to express using this instrument. You have felt it not because she has sung these notes, but because she needed you feel it that way. She is incredible in any terms and almost in any ages.

First a little peek at Diana’s background: Diana Ankudinova was born on May 31, 2003, in a far eastern territory of Russia. Diana's biological mother who was an alcoholic and abused drugs, and mentally, and physically abused Diana. At the age of three, Diana was left by her mother at a bus stop with a broken collarbone in winter. Diana's biological aunt rescued Diana from the street, but was unable to care for the her. Diana's aunt made a statement about the abuse to the local prosecutor, and it was agreed that Diana should be turned over for care to an orphanage which provided for the care of abandoned young children in the general area. That orphanage periodically sent some children to a sanatorium to help them regain and maintain their physical and mental health. A massage therapist, Irina Ponik, who worked at the sanatorium developed a special affection for Diana, and her daughter, who sometimes visited her mother at work, was the one who first began to insist that her mother adopt Diana. In 2008 Irina Ponik filed the necessary paperwork to assume formal legal guardianship of Diana Ankudinova”, and the rest is history! Now onto Diana’s performance of Rechenka. Rechenka is a Russian folk song sung in her native Russian, and was recorded on the 12th of May 2018, when Diana was only 14 years old and a contestant on a Russian vocal competition for disadvantaged children called “You Are Super”. Diana’s performance had many vocal professionals already speculating on her voice type because she was already showing a low, deep, rich, round, and resonant sound. Additionally, her stage presence was well beyond what the majority of 14 year old girls were capable of. During this May 12th 2018 performance of Rechenka, people were curious and were asking questions about Diana’s low voice. The tone, the deep and resonant quality of her voice had many asking about her vocal range, so I found the following information: the year before the “You Are Super” competition, in 2017 at age 13, her vocal range was measured from a low of D3 to a high of A5, which puts her firmly as an Alto voice type, and this first vocal measurement was taken when she competed on the “The Voice Kids Russia”. This first vocal range measurement of Diana was low for a 13 year old girl. She did not have her vocal range checked again until 5 years later with her appearance on a 9 week vocal competition called “ShowMaskGoOn” that premiered on September 25, 2021. Now, back to 2018 and Diana’s “You Are Super”, “Rechenka” performance. During this performance her voice is noticeably deep, round, full, resonant, and dark, with a maturity, and a tone quality that is well beyond her years. This had many vocal professionals speculating that based on this performance, along with video taped concert performances that Diana Ankudinova could be a true Contralto voice type in the making, and a true Contralto voice type is very, very rare. She also has exceptional tone quality, and amazing breath control for a 14 year old. Her musicality was noticed by many stage performance professionals. Questions were being asked, and one of the most asked questions was, how does she do it? Is it a trick of some kind? How can such a young female singer achieve those low, rich, deep, profound, and resonant sounds? Without actually scoping her vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to her winning the genetic lottery, meaning she was just born with her unique vocal anatomy. Diana’s vocal folds, (vocal cords), appear to be longer and thicker than the vast majority of female singers. Her larynx (voice box) also appears to be larger than the majority of female singers, and her laryngopharynx, (throat) similarly appears to be longer and rounder than other female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity, (mouth opening). But there is more that just being born with unique vocal anatomy, Diana knows how to use it. After years of working with her vocal and stage performance coaches, it’s in her musicality and stage presence. It is in her ability to step into a character on stage and assume that character. It’s Diana’s ability to capture an audience, she is not just singing a song, she is communicating with the audience on a personal level. Diana Ankudinova also sang these 3 additional cover songs during the 2018 season of “You Are Super”. I’m sure you will find these 3 performances interesting and unique, and you should really listen to: • February 10, 2018 "Dernière Danse" sung in French. In 2018 Diana first sang this song in the singing competition 'You are super' (she was 14 years old).
This international TV competition is unique in the world and was specially developed for adopted and orphaned children. It is designed not only to give positive emotions to children who do not have a prosperous childhood, but also to hope for changes in their destiny.
Diana entered the competition 'You are Super!' in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to TH-cam and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start studying and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship to the College of Music. Igor Krutoy, as a juror, gave her a small apartment in Moscow. I strongly recommend Diana's cover of Me Voy (when she was only 13 y.o.), a song in Spanish.
Another great example of het talent is her rendition of "Ornery Horses", a song written and performed by the poet Vladimir Vysotsky. The song is about him realizing that his alcohol and drug abuse will ultimately kill him, that he is aware of that and struggles between living with and living without this abuse.. The text is really deep, using the metaphor of him sitting in a sled whipping his horses while at the same time begging them not to listen to the whip and slow don.
If I'm right Diana was 17 years old when she sang it for the first time, and it is unbelievable how at that age she is able to come to the core of this dramatic and poetic song and performs beyond and above the expectations of even her own teacher. For me it's the best performance she ever did.

As I have said before, you have a very nice and warm voice that makes the listeners relaxed while listening to your reactions. You will be blown away again if you see her performance of the song "Oh darling" at the age of 10(!!), and "Puttin' on the Ritz" at the age of 13. Also I propose you to check some more of her masterpieces like "My love", "Oh it's not yet evening", "Blizzard", and "Ornery horses". Thanks again both for your beautiful voice and impression.
Her larynx etc gave her some incredible vocal abilities, i.e. an instrument.
But her influence depends on the feelings she needs to express using this instrument. You have felt it not because she has sung these notes, but because she needed you feel it that way.

If you weren't aware of it Diana had a really rough start in life being quite badly abused then ending up in an orphanage at 3 1/2, adopted at 5 needing quite a bit of rehab. She took up singing at 5 to overcome a bad stammer resulting from her earlier abuse and discovered she was a something of a prodigy with loads of natural talent and a love of singing. The woman you glimpsed near the end of the video is her adoptive mother who did an amazing job of raising and supporting her..

First a little peek at Diana’s background: Diana Ankudinova was born on May 31, 2003, in a far eastern territory of Russia. Diana's biological mother who was an alcoholic and abused drugs, and mentally, and physically abused Diana. At the age of three, Diana was left by her mother at a bus stop with a broken collarbone in winter. Diana's biological aunt rescued Diana from the street, but was unable to care for the her. Diana's aunt made a statement about the abuse to the local prosecutor, and it was agreed that Diana should be turned over for care to an orphanage which provided for the care of abandoned young children in the general area. That orphanage periodically sent some children to a sanatorium to help them regain and maintain their physical and mental health. A massage therapist, Irina Ponik, who worked at the sanatorium developed a special affection for Diana, and her daughter, who sometimes visited her mother at work, was the one who first began to insist that her mother adopt Diana. In 2008 Irina Ponik filed the necessary paperwork to assume formal legal guardianship of Diana Ankudinova”, and the rest is history!
Now onto Diana’s performance of Rechenka. Rechenka is a Russian folk song sung in her native Russian, and was recorded on the 12th of May 2018, when Diana was only 14 years old and a contestant on a Russian vocal competition for disadvantaged children called “You Are Super”. Diana’s performance had many vocal professionals already speculating on her voice type because she was already showing a low, deep, rich, round, and resonant sound. Additionally, her stage presence was well beyond what the majority of 14 year old girls were capable of.
During this May 12th 2018 performance of Rechenka, people were curious and were asking questions about Diana’s low voice. The tone, the deep and resonant quality of her voice had many asking about her vocal range, so I found the following information: the year before the “You Are Super” competition, in 2017 at age 13, her vocal range was measured from a low of D3 to a high of A5, which puts her firmly as an Alto voice type, and this first vocal measurement was taken when she competed on the “The Voice Kids Russia”. This first vocal range measurement of Diana was low for a 13 year old girl. She did not have her vocal range checked again until 5 years later with her appearance on a 9 week vocal competition called “ShowMaskGoOn” that premiered on September 25, 2021.
Now, back to 2018 and Diana’s “You Are Super”, “Rechenka” performance. During this performance her voice is noticeably deep, round, full, resonant, and dark, with a maturity, and a tone quality that is well beyond her years. This had many vocal professionals speculating that based on this performance, along with video taped concert performances that Diana Ankudinova could be a true Contralto voice type in the making, and a true Contralto voice type is very, very rare. She also has exceptional tone quality, and amazing breath control for a 14 year old. Her musicality was noticed by many stage performance professionals. Questions were being asked, and one of the most asked questions was, how does she do it? Is it a trick of some kind? How can such a young female singer achieve those low, rich, deep, profound, and resonant sounds?
Without actually scoping her vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to her winning the genetic lottery, meaning she was just born with her unique vocal anatomy. Diana’s vocal folds, (vocal cords), appear to be longer and thicker than the vast majority of female singers. Her larynx (voice box) also appears to be larger than the majority of female singers, and her laryngopharynx, (throat) similarly appears to be longer and rounder than other female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity, (mouth opening). But there is more that just being born with unique vocal anatomy, Diana knows how to use it. After years of working with her vocal and stage performance coaches, it’s in her musicality and stage presence. It is in her ability to step into a character on stage and assume that character. It’s Diana’s ability to capture an audience, she is not just singing a song, she is communicating with the audience on a personal level.
Diana Ankudinova also sang these 3 additional cover songs during the 2018 season of “You Are Super”. I’m sure you will find these 3 performances interesting and unique, and you should really listen to:
• February 10, 2018 "Dernière Danse" sung in French. This song was cut short to accommodate the performance time limit.
• April 14, 2018 It's a Man's Man's Man's World sung in English
• May 25, 2018 (Season finale) Tomorrow is a Lie sung in English
