    Lynx is the best audio converter that I heard, 2 thumbs up!

    think this is the converter I've always been looking for.
    It's modular, no fan, d-sub connectors to minimize cable mess, it offers USB, and the converter specs are second to none. Plus it's cheaper than a similar Apogee Symphony configuration which offers no USB.

    I know this will sound weird for some but will you guys have Linux drivers for this ? I really don't plan to upgrade to windows 10 and don't like the current situation on the Mac side.

    What’s the benefits to this compared to focusrite or Audient interfaces?

    I'm looking at picking one of these up, but they seem like they're tinted a darker blue than the Aurora n's I've seen - is it a different model? Also, how do I go about adding in new analog I/O cards later on? I've looked everywhere for something explaining the process but can't find anything.

      You can purchase the analog card from Sweetwater we can install it here at the factory or at Sweetwater.

    • @LynxStudioTech
      @LynxStudioTech 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The color difference is probably the lighting they have in their video studio. So to upgrade, you simply purchase the additional channels and Lynx will coordinate the install. It's a fast turnaround. The install can either happen at Sweetwater or at Lynx.

      for just in the box mixing Lynx Hilo could work but RME also has tiny interfaces that will work well

    Word on the street is that the Aurora N is better than the Orion 32HD.... I'm still undecided... Somebody help me lol I need a few second opinions before I throw my finances into a tailspin. If you can link more than one unit together for 64 in/out (or more), I think i'm sold.

    • @Gianluccazz

      Man!! I am in the same situation as you. There are lot of people at forums saying that orion stability with drivers its annoying. Also there are people saying the opposite and it's so confusing.
      Lynx offer the same thing, more expensive I know, but you also can have 32 i/o 1u rack unit thats so cool.
      I can't see anywhere dedicated monitor output I think you have to use one pair of the 8 slot conector to do that work. And also it doesn't have midi i/o but if you don't need it don't matter.
      I heard in a produce like a pro video a little bit of orion convert capability and man.... It's a little bit aggressive the sound in the high end. But it's my personal perspective.

    just got rid of my lynx hilo its not bad sounding but its not the best better options out there lets speak about some issues , it is a clean converter but its also missing the low mids registry so it loses the centre while its very wide sounding it can also be very hard sounding to be used as the only mastering unit also people has brought up the fact that the usb is powered by the computer and not the hilo to which it sounds better in stand alone mode this unit also cannot handle loud as it craps out easily its dangerous or antelope to apogee is better for pitching your analog chain than this unit i tried to like it but its not for people mix ITB because it will not tame digital harshness its very bright sounding its an ok starting device but you will out grow it quickly

    • @AnthonyMartinsRock
      @AnthonyMartinsRock 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I switched to the Lynx (n) from my Prism due to its offer of switchable interfaces from. USB which I chose to use with my mac,pc and ios and I can switch out the USB for Thunderbolt or Dante in the future. It was between this and the Hilo and i chose the DB25 io first to match my orpheus and realised I could airship have 4 combo pres for 12 in 8 out!

    1/2 rack desktop

    • @LynxStudioTech
      @LynxStudioTech 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We make the Hilo which is a half-rack wide desktop. But if you require more channels you need more real estate for the components. Hence the full rack width of the Aurora(n).

    All this for the low price of $4000?

    • @LynxStudioTech
      @LynxStudioTech 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      While some Aurora(n) models are in that range others are less. Some things to keep in mind. Our Aurora Classic lasted almost 15 years as a current model in our line and many use it still today. So you won't have to buy a lower quality, lower priced interface every 2-3 years to keep current. In the long haul it will save you money that you can spend on other gear. With the configurability, as your needs change you simply change the interface with you. Add more channels, mic pres, other newer connection methods as they come into the world, and other modules that we are developing now. This all before we even start talking about it's performance and listening to what it would do for your recordings and mixes.
