    One day I will thank you for my degree, right now I just wanna thank you for the credits I have accomplished. Sometimes I wish I could actually see you, I hope you don't stop doing this for us, I can't believe that you do it for free. I could literally skip college and watch your videos, let us know of any other project you do, would love to share them with the world. I love your voice by the way.

    Shortcut for derivative of a function of type: f(x) raised to g(x)
    Let f(x) be f
    Let g(x) be g
    Let derivative of f(x) be f'
    Let derivative of g(x) be g'
    d/dx(f^g)=(f^g)(f'(g/f)+g' log(f))
    For those who couldn't understand what's written above, It reads as:
    derivative of f raised to power g is equal to f raised to power g times (derivative of f times g by f + derivative of g into log(f))

    • @abigailalemayehu5187

      Cause he multiplied -9x with 2x first, then got a -18x^2. When he multiplied that value with the negative sign before (5-9x), he got a positive 18x^2!

    Why cannot we use quotient rule?

    • @JKMath
      @JKMath 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He didn't use the quotient rule in the beginning because those derivatives are easier and quicker to do without the quotient rule. You could still use the quotient rule, it is just not as efficient. He starts using the quotient rule around 5:30 in the video. Hope this helps!
