Wizards and Warriors animated fantasy documentary lore video series on GRR Martin's world of Ice and Fire continues with the aftermath of the episode describing the madness of king Aerys II Targaryen ( • How Aerys Became the M... ) and Robert's Rebellion ( • Robert's Rebellion - B... ), as well as the Ironborn Rebellion of Balon Greyjoy ( • Ironborn Rebellion - G... ). The courtly intrigues led to the death of the King Robert Baratheon and the consequent succession crisis leads to the beginning of the War of the Five Kings. The Star heir Robb - the Young Wolf is eager to save his father Eddard and so he marches south, leading to the battles of Green Fork and Whispering Wood and of the Camps against the house of Lannister ( • Rise of the Young Wolf... ). The war of the Five Kings continues with the battles of Oxcross, Fords and Bitterbridge ( • Battle of Oxcross - Wa... ) inching the continent closer to the battle of the Blackwater Bay ( • Battle of the Blackwat... ). That battle was pivotal and changed the flow of the war. The Starks were also attacked by the Greyjoys from the north and were betrayed by their own bannermen, leading to the battles of Duskendale and Red Wedding ( • Red Wedding - Game of ... ). For now, we turn to the events in Essos, where we observe the rise of Daenerys Targaryen, who helped by her husband Khal Drogo of the Dothraki and her own resilience, makes the first steps on the way to returning the throne of her father Aeyrys.

This is how you properly write in empowered women. Not them taking roles from men. They are capable of becoming powerful on their own.
Hopefully George goes a VERY different route with it.
I’m ok with her descent to madness….but for gods sake at least write it well. Ideally, she doesn’t go mad at all. She is the best learner in the series. Her learning from her mistakes in mereen and tempering cruelty would be real character growth. Not just her becoming depressed and emotional for absolutely no reason other than losing people in war.
@@moviebad109 It would be interesting if she'd burned king's landing because Cersei had scorpions hidden all throughout the city on rooftops or so. The guilt and blame for this action (together with losing several people dear to her) could then cause her to become insane due to grief, sorrow and guilt.
Either that or a cautionary tail to not worship people and put them on a pedestal...... Daenerys is a conqueror and George has mentioned that GOT is an anti-war story
@@thebasketballexpress1934 Conquering on itself isn't really a bad thing at all though, uniting people can lead to prosperity, peace, stability, ... It all comes down to why you conquer, how you do it and what happens after.
For example Dany's initial mid show reasons for conquest were fine, then she suddenly went crazy.
Whatever one can say of Daenerys stormborn, given how she started off with virtually nothing by the fall of Yunki, she has risen by strength of her wits, dragons, personality and cunning to become a serious player with an seasoned army and councilors, in the game of thrones and one whom, that in the books continuity and not a travesty of a path in show cannon, might once she returns to her homeland take back the iron throne.
Still waiting on Warcraft lore videos, that would be spectalular, like this one!

I checked out that Kickstarter and it only had one option that would get you a dice, it said it was only going to be a D20 and it said nothing else about the rest of a set of dice or the container they would come in... this ad at 1:53 claims a lot that the site does not, and I was going to order until basically realizing that...
The pledge is pretty clear that it's a reservation; you can pledge as much as you like, from the initial price for one D20, up to however much you want to order. Since pledges aren't malleable, lots of Kickstarters use post-launch shops to finalize orders. All of the dice and container prices are listed on the Kickstarter page.
I gleaned all of that in about 40 seconds, from reading one paragraph of the pledge description and skimming the list of their offerings. I can't do buy them, they're not in my range of interests or price range, but dear lord, try reading more than a single sentence.

Fun fact, I personally admire some Targaryens such as Jaeharerys, Aegon I, Viserys II, and of course Daenerys. They are great politicians and warlords at the same time. These Targaryen characters remind me of the real politicians especially American Presidents. In our real world, American Presidents always act as global police, impose the American interests on other nations, and not hesitate to use military aggression if necessary in order to maintain global political stability. Like fictional Targaryen, there are so many American military operations around the world such as Latin America, Middle East, and Eastern Europe if compared to other superpowers.
Thank you George for creating the absolute best world available in book form. This tale will last for centuries.✌️🇺🇸
Not sure what i think about using book facts to supplement show storylines. Really just with essos though theres so many character changes and amalgamations it feels like it makes other points void like bringing up allyrio sending ships and them saving her not Ser barristan

One of the questions I want resolved in Winds (if it ever comes out) is Dany's true origins.
Evidence points that she is actually NOT the daughter of Aerys II.
She was NOT raised in Braavos (her story makes no sense, Braavos is too far north to have lemon trees - something actually confirmed in a released Winds chapter (Mercy))
Her true origins remain a complete mystery and her own memories are unreliable.
Heck just her "Stormborn" moniker is a blatant lie - it's said she was born during the worst storm in a century, yet not a single record of that storm exists outside her own statements. No Maester recorded it and nobody except her mentions it.

Of course it's not proven yet, but the evidence is there throughout the books.
What is known is that Danaerys' story of her birth and early years makes no sense and nobody corroborates it.
Firstly, In Sam's POV fruit trees growing in the palaces of wealthy Braavosi are mentioned, so it is completely possible for Dany to grow up in a house with lemon tree next to it.
Secondly, Oberyn went to Braavos in order to make a wedding pact between Viserys and Arianne.
And finally, NO ONE in Dorne ever mentions seeing Targ kids there. At all. Either in their thoughts or while speaking.
So no, Dany is Aerys' daughter and it makes sense for her character arc and the need for her to face the past of her family. If she is some mystery child from nowhere then this plot point goes nowhere. It is like that theory about Tyrion being Aerys' son -- it is a mystery and subversion for mystery's and subversion's sake, not something that will benefit a story.
