    Suzanne,
I have to admit that I am not an assiduous reader, but the enthusiasm you put in your summaries is so contagious it strongly encourages me to go through them.
    You are awesome!

Glad you summed it up for me, i like how i read it in the span of 4 days for an assignment, playing games that require low focus and muscle memory in order to listen to it on TH-cam, i got a lot of quotes out of it that i liked, and i felt it was a good time to understand it before i start living independently

I've always been a little wary and skeptical of self-improvement books, and I started reading this book with a similar degree of skepticism as well. But I have to say, this book really exceeded my expectations, and was not only an enjoyable read, but super helpful and motivating. Sure, not everything in the book can translate perfectly for everybody's unique situation, but the vast majority of what McKeown says is practical and very doable. If you're looking for help on prioritizing your life and want clarity, I highly recommend this book. Great summary and review btw!

Good review! Loool The Gary Vee shades though, I think there are a number of his ideas that are louder than the whole, but I don’t think he’s wrong. I think he adds well to the conversation, & here’s what I mean:
    1. He doesn’t necessarily tell you to do all/popular things. When people ask him about what to do with their lives/time, he usually says “you can’t know what to focus on if you’ve not tried a number of/multiple things. Over time, you realize what works (for you) or not, & decide what to focus on from there.”
    2. When he says popular, he mostly refers to seizing moments & current dynamics, especially at it involves the platforms that can give you the most organic reach per time.
    3. He’s also very big on taking complete responsibility for one’s life, being accountable & not playing to the gallery (but rather on your very personal journey to happiness). And I believe these form the bedrock of Essentialism.
Might be sounding like a fan boy now, but my point is: I’m hesitant to label him anti-minimalism/essentialism. In fact, there’s a video he did with Matt D’avella that clarifies his thoughts better. Again, I believe his ideas adds to the conversation.

I haven't taken from GaryVee that he is "do all now" but rather if you dont know, try different tgings and dont worry too much. So yeah, idk why there is so much "opposition" in thos talk about him?!?

Hello! I just finished the book and it was amazing! I understand that you are probably very busy and I'm wanting to possibly create a book summary on it. I'm wondering if you could help answer some of my questions about it. I'll shoot a dm in case you don't see this comment. (I just realized it was made 2 years ago!)

When you are rich, you can always take time off to relax. No need to worry about health insurance, having money for food, money for rent or mortgage. During this pandemic, the poorest and disadvantage suffered the most and will continue to suffer after this pandemic.
