    Great video, I recently came across with this commodity that I have never heard before. I have done a lot of research but didn't find much information in regards to its production.

      I know how you feel, I cam across them a couple of years ago and wondered what I have been doing with my life.

    at 7:54 u mentioned of cutting top of your jujube tree, I would recommend you before cutting it off do air layering by doing this way you will have another jujube tree.

      Thanks, if I had room for more trees I would. I am currently out of space, one tree is enough for my whole family of 6.

    Have the same tree also. Sugar Cane is so sweet. I also have honey jar and they do look alike except Sugar Cane is sweeter imo

    Awesome production you have there. Do you have your tree in full and direct sunlight all day? I put mine in the ground that only get about 5 hours of direct sunlight - from 11AM to around 4 to 4:30 pm at max. There are big trees on the neighbor's property that shades out my plants. I have no choice. I hope I have good production.

      Yes, all of the Jujube's are in full sun, they love the sun and the heat, no issues. Let me know how it turns out for you, this last year I had about two months of harvesting fruit.

      @@flackfruit WOW!! I have a full sun area in front of my house, but I don’t want them in front of the house. I planted them by the side and away from the house because I don’t want too much issues with suckers. There’s plenty of sunlight if I planted them closer to the house like around 20 to 40 feet or so. Now this far end toward the fence only gets about 4 to 5 hours of direct sunlight per day because of the neighbor’s pine trees shade the area from east & west. Direct sunlight is from around 11 to around 4:30. After that, it has some filtered sunlight coming through those pine trees.

      Trees of Antiquity in CA. Bare root, all have lived and are thriving. I just got another tree a couple of weeks ago.

    How long will it take to produce fruits?

    • @flackfruit
      @flackfruit  ปีที่แล้ว

      These produce on first year wood, I have gotten fruit each year after planting in the ground, but that is from bare root and grafting, not from starts.

    I bot 2 Sherwood and 2 Ga866? Fr Tytys. Both Sherwood (the $125 one and 67) and both did not root. They don't refund. 1 GA the big one $125 is just a tall stick fruited 2 fruits it is Lang fruit

    • @flackfruit
      @flackfruit  ปีที่แล้ว

      No!! that sucks. I stopped purchasing from Tyty, I think because shipping is so far the plants just don't make it. I have heard Lang does not have that good of a flavor. My Shanxi Li is growing well but didn't fruit well this year, the sugar cane has produced well each year. This year I had two seasons of fruit, which was fun.

      @@flackfruit yup Lang doesnt taste that good. I have 3 LIs. I bot a big 1 locally this Spring and it is a big healthy tree now(not skinny tall stixk like Tytys and cost me less $80-85 only) im shocked it fruited a lot Looks like small apples. Big jujube fruits shaped jusr like apples. Its Li not Shnaxi. I also got my Suhar Cane there sams prics also big healrhu tree now fruiting. Much smaller than Lis but taste so good.

      I have a couple that are larger, but the majority are very small, half the size of a cherry.
