about 3 years ago i was a day counter all the way up to day 365 and its been a while since i actually came back to Brotherman Bill. i remember every night commenting how my day went and reading other day counter's comments as well, sometimes replying to them as well. TerribleTim would also heart every single comment and read our comments as well, i remember he did a video of him hearting our comments giving appreciation to the day counters. ive seen a lot of people reply and ask why or whats the point of counting every day in a youtube comment section, and as someone who did it for a whole year i honestly dont have an answer. i think part of it though was making a routine and sharing your thoughts or feelings to other strangers you dont know. in a weird way it brings a sense of comfort, and a result creating an albeit small but i guess community of people with the same goal of commenting everyday. seeing familiar icons/name everyday was cool. it also helped that TerribleTim was extremely interactive with us and supportive of not just day counters but any person who commented on the video, hearting every single one. though he is unfortunately not with us anymore, TerribleTim appreciated all the comments and the day counters. while almost all the familiar faces i knew stopped commenting, a message to the day counters now, try to like other day counter's comments, and if they decide to share their thoughts or feelings in that comment that you happen to resonate with it also doesnt hurt to leave a small reply. we might be complete strangers but there is one thing we all share and that is our appreciation to Brotherman Bill. if you're someone who isnt a day counter and feel like wanting to now, there is no harm in doing so and i hope everyone new or regulars to start/continue your journey!

about 3 years ago i was a day counter all the way up to day 365 and its been a while since i actually came back to Brotherman Bill. i remember every night commenting how my day went and reading other day counter's comments as well, sometimes replying to them as well. TerribleTim would also heart every single comment and read our comments as well, i remember he did a video of him hearting our comments giving appreciation to the day counters.
ive seen a lot of people reply and ask why or whats the point of counting every day in a youtube comment section, and as someone who did it for a whole year i honestly dont have an answer. i think part of it though was making a routine and sharing your thoughts or feelings to other strangers you dont know. in a weird way it brings a sense of comfort, and a result creating an albeit small but i guess community of people with the same goal of commenting everyday. seeing familiar icons/name everyday was cool. it also helped that TerribleTim was extremely interactive with us and supportive of not just day counters but any person who commented on the video, hearting every single one.
though he is unfortunately not with us anymore, TerribleTim appreciated all the comments and the day counters. while almost all the familiar faces i knew stopped commenting, a message to the day counters now, try to like other day counter's comments, and if they decide to share their thoughts or feelings in that comment that you happen to resonate with it also doesnt hurt to leave a small reply. we might be complete strangers but there is one thing we all share and that is our appreciation to Brotherman Bill. if you're someone who isnt a day counter and feel like wanting to now, there is no harm in doing so and i hope everyone new or regulars to start/continue your journey!
