For Elementor you would create the custom post type and then in the Elementor settings you'll find a checkbox for the new custom post. Check that box and you will be able to use the Elementor editor when creating a post for the custom post type and that should also make the custom post type selectable when creating an Elementor template. Thank you for this video. Casually im using divi for my website and instead of using CTP UI as CPT Plugin, im using pods one. One of the things that you need to achieve is to be able to show a PDF file (custom field) directly in the archive template. Let's suppose that my CPT is named MUSIC so once you get the URL (mysite / music) is displayed the file with the post for that section, just like if were "blog". I need to show there the .PDF file available to be downloaded across click if user wants to the get it. Do you know how to achieve this approach from somehow? I'd really appreciate so much any kind of help that you can bring me over this! Thank you for your time. Regards

I want to create custom page on front end, save it to new table and show it in custom post type template in back-end, without using any other plugin except CPT and ACF by typing the code. So I make like this: 1. Created table "customer_service:csname(varchar),csemail(varchar),cstelephone(varchar)csmessage(text, memo or varchar)" made custom page template and created new page, assigned page template (with form and submit button) to new page and link it to Menu at front end. So far so good. Added a function in functions.php to save inserted data to database using INSERT statement and not wp_insert_post - which would actually save data as post type in wp_post_type table and not into my custom customer_service table. So far so good. Now here is the tricky part. Now I want a back-end CPT named Customer Service with slug customer_service to read from the table customer_service and display data into input text fields (could be with ACF?) at back-end Customer Service CPT. How to do that? CPT with show data from wp_post_type table and not my custom table. So I need to create custom post type template that would read data from my custom table and display it at back-end Customer Service CPT. How do it do that? If you solve this problem without using any payable plugins by writing code I'll give you a medal. What you showed in this video is how to display custom CPT in Front-end, but not in Back-end. Thanks a lot.
Sounds like a plugin conflict. I would first make sure that your plugins, your theme and your WordPress core files are up-to-date. If it's still not fixed I would make the CPT manually like I demonstrate in this tutorial.

Does it change the process if you are using Elementor to create your templates? I can't seem to get this to work for myself.

Hi Antonio, pages in WordPress aren't designed to become custom post types. But, you can edit a post (single.php) to look just like a page.
