Jazz singers are badass. Yes it's relevant. Your degree, I agree. I like the way Ariana sings duets, harmonies, and accompaniments with other artists. She is down to earth, yet classy.
tbh always watching ariana reactions but this one is special i always look for a real analysis of everything she does and nobody is doing it right like u did !! just got a new subscriber and im waiting for moreeeeee
I loved your reaction to Ariana’s singing. This song highlights why Ariana is one of the best singers of this generation . Your breakdown of each component of her voice in the song had me riveted, especially with you using your exceptional vocal talent to demonstrate. I wish you well in your own musical career.
You really really really need to watch the movie in order to fully appreciate what Ariana is doing here. Not only is she displaying her impeccable vocal technique, but she’s doing this in the service of extremely good acting. This is really a self-parody that is also masterful comic improv; she made up many of the lyrics herself in the studio to fit the story of the film. I don’t blame you for avoiding Hollywood comedies but Don’t Look Up is much, much more than a comedy - though I suppose it might be good to go into it thinking that’s all it is because then it will blow you away. I would love to see you revisit this after watching the film so you can take its context into account. After all, acting is part of the singing gig, right? When you sing a song, regardless of genre, you’re inhabiting a character and conveying a dramatic arc. And that it something else that Ms. Grande is very good at doing. You are obviously someone with a lot of diverse talents. I would love to see how they interact with one another - how your instrumental skills inform your singing and vice versa, what jazz singers can teach pop singers and vice versa, how teaching can influence performing and vice versa. Looking forward to seeing more!
Amazing reaction my friend Erika!!...I can see you have a big talent like singer so I want to invite you to meet, who is considered the Fourth All Time Vocal Trinity (with Whitney, Mariah and Celine) and one of the Best Female Singers of the World: Lara Fabian....She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control...She speaks and composes in 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages...You can see covers of her songs on TH-cam made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Polina Gagarina, Forestella, Julie Anne San Jose, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Giulia Falcone, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Rimar, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the song “Je Suis Malade”....th-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/w-d-xo.html
Ariana has a beautiful voice, but sometimes, like with some other artists, there's a bit too much vocal calisthenics and it, for me, detracts from the meaning of the song. How about a vocal reaction to the GOAT, and an idol of Ariana's (and others like Celine and Kelly Clarkson), Barbra Streisand. Barbra knows just how to interpret a lyric, draw you in and make you feel. Here's a live performance, and just a tiny sampling of six decades of unparalleled vocal genius. If you haven't studied Barbra, you haven't heard the woman who wrote the book on vocal techniques, not for grandstanding, but for sublime effect. The only recording artist by the way, to have an album debut at #1 for 6 consecutive decades. th-cam.com/video/jTtUr37F42Q/w-d-xo.html
