Hello Brian, i came over to your channel from CrazyQuady... enjoy your videos so far and have subscribed. Look forward to new videos and watching what you have posted thus far.
It’s tough picking out spots at campgrounds you’ve never been to before. We tent camped a few months ago and our site had a giant drainage ditch right in the middle of it. It was seriously 10 feet wide and full of water and mud. We had to walk almost 150 feet down and another 150 feet back to get around it
Hey bud! I lived in that town for several years. I recognized the Dairy Queen on your way to the lake. It looks like you stayed at Dr.’s Creek on the north side of the lake. We always preferred the South Sulphur Unit which is on the south side. Sorry you got “the knock,” but at least it wasn’t because you were doing something wrong. lol. Wish I’d known you were headed there. I might could’ve given you some pointers on a better spot. Anyhow, you got to go camping which is all that matters. Sunny and I made it back down to Oklahoma earlier this week. We camped at some nice places in Iowa, Missouri, and Arkansas on the way back. We’ll be getting deer camp mowed in a few days. Sure hope y’all can make it up. It’ll be a blast!
There are some good battery heaters that use the Thermacell pads. Works well and you can recharge them on the road or just plug them into a battery pack while using them.
Hey Brian, I enjoyed the video. Sorry you had a chaotic time at that site. Didn't look like the best of spots to camp. They need to do alot of improvements to that park. Hopefully the next lake is more enjoyable for you! Yay for pickles, famous now lol! Have a great weekend and as always looking forward to the next one!
I really like your setup in your truck. I think you have done a really nice job for the electrical too. I am going back to study your earlier videos on your build out. The electrical is where I really need the knowledge input for sure. So thanks for posting all of that 👋👍 I only read "how to " books or view documentary style movies. I haven't read any fiction in a long time. I will check out The Innocent-- thanks for taking us along and I look forward to the next BWO! 💥and I think the hammock at the boat ramp was an excellent idea, lol! The lake is beautiful👋👋
Ah the Pacific, fabulous series, not as good as Band of Brothers but still great. Thanks for the video, really enjoying your content and I have learned a few things from your videos. So thanks, and keep up the great work.
FYI with the Drone and a look at the water you can see the deep and get your hook down to the lower part where you may find a better chance for catching something. Just a thought 💭
Brian! I'm going to hallar at you next year for a collab. You're going to have to buy/rent a kayak, and drive to the hill country, and plan for a 2-3 day trip but I think you will love it. Did you know that the San Marcos river moves too fast for mosquitos to lay their eggs? You can hang out by the river without ever getting mosquito bites. I've spent two weekends in July one year apart camping and kayaking on that river without a single bite and without being miserable at night (I do have air conditioning though) lol. It's amazing dude. It's actually 3 weekends for me because I took my kids but I didn't record it.
I finally had time to watch ur video sorry u got the knock ✊. It’s crazy around here on Fridays it’s high school football season that’s a big thing here in Louisiana Friday nights under the lights.
Hi Brian beautiful aerial footage the lake looked awesome, sorry things wasn't up to standard ,as the saying goes when life gives you lemons make lemonade, hope next camp site would meet your approval, thanks for sharing stay safe
That was certainly a mixed bag of jellybeans! I'm glad you found a good hammock spot to wait until check-out time. Six Park Rangers with flashlights at 1:00 AM in the forest? Thinking maybe there's more to that story than you were told because Emergency Shut-off Valves ARE NOT NORMALLY located in remote areas like that site.
THE KNOCK? So I heard of a LED motion sensor light with remote buzzer or camera that outdoor campers use for JUST IN CASE SOMETHING OR SOMEONE COMES INTO PROXIMITY OF YOUR TRUCK THE LIGHT GOES OFF AND YOUR REMOTE DEVICE ALERTS YOU THAT THERE IS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING OUTSIDE....APPROACHING..... before or instead of you getting that SURPRISE KNOCK. I would get that because I have a bad heart❤👍😎. Great video.
I think I'd be tempted to drive slowly through the park with the hammock rigged on the bumper, and if the authorities stop you, tell them your friend just wanted to go for a quick ride in the hammock. When they say there's no one back there... However, probably not a good idea. You'd have the one park official w/o a sense of humor. 🤪 Just a thought 😎
Brother I semi enjoyed this video and I have been following you for a long while now. This one hit a nerve, sorry. I’m glad you finally did a multi-day trip as overnight doesn’t fully count in my book. You go to a campsite and complain people are by you. You are not the only one who likes doing this and if you are an introvert like me don’t go to a campsite go off grid somewhere. Sure, it doesn’t have power so you can’t go glamping like you do 90% of the time and plug in your AC unit but you have the power stations to be self-sufficient. Before you rag on me, I live next door (state over) and don’t have half of that stuff so yeah, I deal with the heat and bugs as much as you do if not more it’s not a big deal as I’m camping not at a house or RV. Whether you’re in a truck, tent whatever doesn’t matter as your trying to inspire people to go outdoors. I have been camping, hiking, overlanding, car camping for over 30 years. I can go extremely minimal to full on glamping mode. Work around others it will never be a perfect condition to film and motivate people as you have a lot of followers. Again, I’m not trying to be an @$$ as you inspire many people just stop whining and make the best of the situation. Yeah, I can watch others but I enjoy your format and perspective. Last minimal point please learn how to cook if you going to video it. Pre-fab Walmart salads burnt food on a flat top with meat to vegetable ratios out of whack etc, etc is armature level and people see it but minor. You did better when you cooked in your cast-iron pots and stuff. If others to defend you as I posted it publicly I have 21 years in the military and I DON'T CARE. Ive been there done it and seen it all just posting how I feel. Sorry, I don't want to be a negative nanny just being Mr. Obvious if you cant see it.
Great video Brian, I always enjoy your content bud. You are one of the few that still does truck camping....good truck camping :-)
Thank you👍🏻
Wine this trip. Meat sticks on the last trip. Man you are gettin fancy.:). Love the vids as always.
Lol. Gettin fancy👍🏻
My favorite shot of the whole video was when you kicked back in the hammock at the lake and the electric guitar was playing! Great way to end it!
Thanks William

When I saw you open the book and lean back, I thought we were going to see an Audiobook Video.
Lol. Maybe next time😂
Next time fly the drone down over the water, like a scene from Top Gun! That’d be some cool shots! 😎
👍🏻👍🏻
Looks like your Having A Blast. Keep the Great Videos Up

How is the a.c. Unit set up in the bed ?
Spiders. Bring a can of raid, spray it all over in the air above your campsite, come back later. No spiders
👍🏻👍🏻

J Lohr.. best wine I’ve ever drank…. Their Cab is to die for…..
👍🏻👍🏻🍻
Great Video😊
Thank you👍🏻
Nice set up for sure. How is the air conditioner installed?
I’m built a false tailgate for it to fit in. There’s a few videos on my channel showing exactly how I built it👍🏻

Ya can't hit a 5 star every time. But I bet things are fixin to get better. lol
👍🏻👍🏻
You wouldn’t have these problems if you would disperse camp lol. Another good video though 👍🏼
👍🏻
Great video
Thank you👍🏻
What is that black circle in the sky, on the right hand side over the restroom building?
Think it’s just a spec of dust on the lens
Happy Days To You Mr. Brian,
Could you tell me what type of gas griddle you use?
Thanks,
Ryan
This is a camplux version. There’s a link to it in the video description👍🏻
Have you considered an awning for the rear of the truck, for when you set up the hammock?
Yeah, I’ve been thinking about one
Do you have a link for the movie screen and whatever projector you have and how that works?
Where did you find the hammock rig for the hitch?
It’s from adventure hammock systems. There’s a quick link to it in the video description👍🏻

What is your truck bed length? Currently have a Pathfinder but in the process of finding a used truck with a long(er) bed.
This is a 6.5’ bed
Cheers...:)🍷
👍🏻👍🏻
What movie projector are you running? Does it connect to your ipad via hdmi?
It’s an XGIMI projector. I have to use an apple usbc to hdmi adapter to get it to work.
Will your tailgate open with the hammock poles attached?
No, it won’t
Brian where do you get your music for your videos from?
