@shadonnajames1129 I use to teach high school students and adults with disabilities. God prepared me to have a son diagnosed with autism. So, I always encourage my son to be positive. I stress to him that he can do anything that he put his mind to do. I tell him "Don't let your disability stop you from your abilities." I said, all that to say ...If you don't think people will buy your work, then they won't buy your work. They won't buy it because you think they won't buy it, so then you will not put your self out there. If you never put yourself out there to show people your work...then how can they buy it? I simply suggest the first step is to change your mindset. Believe in yourself and the work that you create, then allow others to see the art you create....that's the "Bet on Yourself." I will give you another example, as a photographer I have been to events and saw people just starting with their photography at events and they are selling photos that look "not good" or you can tell they are beginners. I know my skills are so much better than theirs, but who is there doing the work? That person is there doing the work and getting the money, so I always encourage them because they are bold enough to go do it, even if the skills are not there YET. However, the skills will come, because he or she was brave enough to go do it. So, be brave and keep doing your art. I hope and pray that one day you will have the mindset to show and inspire others with the beautiful gift you have inside you. How will the world know how creative and talented you are if you don't change your mindset and let us see what you working with right now? Believe in Yourself and others will see that belief! Then others will believe with you! Then others will invest in you too!

When my mother saw it, she said I’ll be down you can draw. I said yeah I’ll do this when I get older and I gave my drawing book away to a guy who needed to finish an art project. Fast-forward to 2018 after my daughter died, I started painting because I wanted to give her children oil paintings of her Before I Die. I’ve created three paintings for her and gave one away. Now one paid for my family and friends and I gave them away as gifts because I love them so much. Now I’m considering taking a class and getting out there and doing my thing before I get much older. Maybe it’s one of those things I can do on my retirement. Thank you for your encouragement, you are beautiful inside and out. You have a beautiful aura about you. Thank you for making this video! Although I have been printing all my life, I’m learning not to run from it anymore. I’m just in the beginning of my Art journey, and allowing God to lead me!
Thank you so much !! I want to break the financial "ceiling" that I know is only in my mind. It's hard to believe I can be financial stable through my art but your video is so inspiring.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO DROP A VIDEO LIKE THIS !! 😂 I’m so stuck in my art journey, I feel like I’ve had artist block for years. Not knowing which direction to go to push my business to the next level. You’re the only artist that I follow and trust your advice. I know I need to look at other artists. But rn you’re my inspiration, and I know god has great things in store for you and your beautiful family ❤
@@daeshawilson612 it is a long journey indeed but trying new things will help discover your self, style and overall direction. Movement is better than no movement at all 🙏🏾 stay inspired by doing what brings you joy! Doesnt even have to be art related, just pour into yourself.
