Oh I am looking forward to following you! My husband and I hiked the PCT last year, and I am missing it. I look forward to reliving our journey through your special journey. I can't wait to watch. Enjoy! -- Clementine
It doesn’t rain alot in Washington, Washington state isn’t in the top 10 of rainiest states. What we get mostly is cloudy, or cloudy and drizzle, rarely heavy rain.
Congratulations! Curious how far you plan to hike in a given day? I understand starting slow, and I’m curious what you think your average days, and what you high/low mileage days will look like. Good luck!!!
@bberenson001 the first couple of weeks we plan on 6 or 12 miles a day then gradually increasing to 15 and hopefully get to 20. We have never thru-hiked so we want to take our time and let our bodies adjust.
@@heavenlyhikesandtravels241PCT very cold in March - rain and snow. I ran into a bear last summer in Yosemite and it just walked right past me. I was stalked by 2 mountain lions up near Donner Pass, but I was up at the ridge line at sunset. Sniffed by some animal at Anza Borrega, but too scared to open my eyes. But I cowboy camp a lot. Rattlesnakes are always a problem esp. since the trail has been very unmaintained the last few years. People are always nice. Many hikers and trail angels out there to help. Great experience.
So excited for you!!! I shall be following along!!! 💙🔥💙
